Authenticator app coming to iPhones, iPods, and other mobile devices {WoW}

Mar 19th 2009 6:55PM It uses OTP. The "random numbers" are a pre-generated list copied to the keychain and to the server. When you request a code, the current time is used to determine which "random number" is the one to let you in. The server then checks the list associated with your account to see if the random number for the given time matches the one you supplied.

so, knowing the serial number on the keychain will not in any way let the hacker determine the long list of random numbers. They would have to read the entire thing (a few MB of data). Which probably means they have the lost/stolen phone/keychain in their hands. they win if they can get your user/pass.

You may be a Love Fool after all {WoW}

Feb 25th 2009 8:47PM You can still get "I Pitied the Fool" if you manage to hit 80 and know anyone who still has a love fool in their bags before they expire. (to draw it out even longer, you can leave it in the Gift of Adoration until shortly before the gift expires).

So, start looking for someone who still has one. I've got a guildie who just hit 80 and got the title yesterday.

Fun times.
