Feb 14th 2009 5:15PM I dinged 70 standing on the statue in Stormwind :D
Used that quest where you summon the guy in Netherstorm with the staff to hand it in.
My flatmate dinged 80 from exploration XP from the last part of Icecrown, meaning she got achievements for level 80, exploring Icecrown, exploring Northrend, and World Explorer all at once.
Dec 16th 2008 10:47PM "-arena point requirement is retarded, i dont know why they decided to "fix" something that wasnt broken"
Why is it retarded? Why shouldn't certain gear require you to do something specific? Couldn't the same be said for Marks of Honour? I want a certain item, but I hate EotS, but the item requires those marks. Oh no. Poor me. As you say in your third point, if you don't want to do something, fine, you don't get the rewards it entails.
"- epic flight IMHO should cost no more than 1.5K-1.8K gold at most"
Why? Regular flying is enough to do almost anything in the game, Epic is just a convenience.
"-"I can't get this or that achievement because it involves something I don't want to do!" wow, thats an actual complaint? well then the simple answer is NO YOU ARE NOT GOING TO GET THAT ACHIEVEMENT, NOT YOURS"
"- all the rest lumped in with first point, the system worked before, why was it screwed with?"
Yeah, the old system seemed to work, but maybe they felt differnt, maybe people weren't doing enought arenas?
Dec 11th 2008 4:04PM I played a lot of WoW in the last year before I dropped out, but that was not why I didn't go to class, it was just what I did when I wasn't going to class. If I didn't have WoW, I would have just watched TV, read a book, drank (like a lot of people did) instead.
The problem was indeed my priorities, that collage wasn't the top, not what it was that I put above it.
Dec 8th 2008 10:48PM Sarth-10 to make it interesting :D
A friend brought this up today, it's one of the few raids where the 10-man version is actually harder than the 25-man version (I'll take his word for it, haven't been there myself).
Dec 8th 2008 9:04PM I believe this is PPM (Procs Per Minute) based, and is around 2ppm per talent point (So 10ppm at 5 points).
This is then based on your weapon speed, so if you have a single 2.0 speed weapon, hitting 30 times per minute, the chance on each hit is 33.33%. Slower weapons have a higher chance, and adding 2 weapons means each have that chance, windfury hits can proc, and finally, haste changes your swing speed, but not the chance, so increasing your PPM.
I think this is mostly a raiding/instancing talent, where you can more consistently rely on it building to 5 charges, than a questing talent.
Jul 21st 2008 4:08PM "@ 12 stormstrikes for 2 strikes each = 24 more attacks"
I think you mean 6 SS for 2 strikes = 12 attacks, but I might be wrong... it's early
7.5 with the new talent (-2s cooldown)
Jul 20th 2008 6:44PM Now, if only it would pay my respec costs as well...
*Goes back to doing dailies*
Apr 25th 2008 1:17AM The spec issue is also important. Just the other day my resto shaman picked up the priest D3 pants to replace my ~65 green pants. Not only are they not itemised right for me, they have a set bonus only of use to a priest. Now, I didn't roll against a priest, but what if there had been a shadow priest there, I still would have rolled, and more than that, expected the priest not too. As I see it, if you are doing a job in a group, and something drops that will make you better at that job, you should roll. If a you have a boomkin, and the mage/lock gear that drops will make him dps better, then he should be rolling.
Nov 19th 2007 9:27PM Ratings Buster is still far more informative, giving things like +spellcrit from int, etc, as well as taking your talents into consideration. Good to see though.
