Nov 16th 2009 12:26PM My experience is this. The raid leader should ideally be ranged DPS, specifically Hunters. As a hunter I know that I have a great perspective on the fight and being able to direct a fight would seem logical. I often find myself calling out adds or timers even when I'm not the raid leader. Tanks are right in the middle and they are just worrying about keeping aggro and pulling adds off the healers. All I am doing is going through a shot rotation. I see whats going on everywhere. I have the ability to misdirect mobs on to off tanks as well.
My 2 cents
As far as Guild leaders, class they are playing doesn't matter.
Nov 10th 2009 11:32AM I had no issues last night. I do see alot of "Waahh!" here though. Ive said it before and I'll say it again...for a game that serves millions of people using millions of different OS configurations, Blizz does a pretty good job on keeping the game functioning for most people most of the time.
Nov 10th 2009 2:20AM Being a parent the biggest decision in choosing a guild was to find a guild that was a family first guild. Yes they do exist. I also only raid and run instances with my guild...period. I know that if something should come up that requires me to step away that they understand. Sure I don't get to raid constantly but I get to raid enough.
Also I find a good amount of my raiding happens after I send the kids to bed. It just is something as a parent that I need to work out. It also helps me keep this game just a game...you can't ignore the children. You can try but it doesn't work :P
Nov 6th 2009 1:53PM I don't think they ever will. If they did, people could just level as a Hunter or a class they know really well and switch at 80. Then we have a bunch of level 80 noobs who don't know their classes. The way it is now you can at least reasonably expect a level 80 mage knows the class.
Oct 9th 2009 1:12AM My Pet attack/Hunter's mark macro or my deathgrip for my DK
Oct 5th 2009 3:52PM I won the Kodo on my alt but I gave it to my guildmate who was on a main and hasn't had alot of time to get it. Works late and there was never anyone to run it with him. I got the achievements when i picked it up and then I passed it to the other guy and he got the achievements too. I liked the Kodo but this was the right thing to do.
Oct 1st 2009 11:45AM Last night we did the brewfest boss. I had just got my DK to 80 and this was my first level 80 alt. On our third attempt the Kodo dropped. We rolled and I won it. Because I have the ram on my main I decided to give the kodo to a guildie who had been trying and trying. I just opened a trade window and handed it to him. That was his main so I knew it would be better for a main to have it. 2 hours later a Titansteel Destroyer showed up in my mail box from him as a thank you. It was a very nice surprise.
Sep 30th 2009 2:52PM Im not positive the word Epic is enough to describe this!!
Sep 25th 2009 6:25PM I did notice the Kill shot bug before. I am not a PVP hunter so I think...meh...whatever. As for volley I did notice it. Volley is extremely useful on the 2nd phase of onyxia on those damn whelps
