Jan 23rd 2008 7:26PM A few things that need to be explained further. Equipment.
Ret your looking for AP/Crit. Blizzard is moving away from retadins using spell damage. Demonstrated in the change to crusader strike it now works off straight dmg 110-112%

The seal of command still uses a coefficient of spell dmg. But equipping for spell dmg is FTL! Hopefully blizzard will change this or give alliance seal of blood or something similiar.

If your going the holy/shockadin/tankadin route spell dmg is more important. Seal of Righteousness works off spell dmg but doesn't crit.

Going the Ret path is easier now a days but finding the right equipment can be tough. A lot of ret paladins just grab warrior eqiupment but that can gimp your mana pool.

So your going to need a mix mash of whatever you can find that works well with your spec. You may have a piece of armor with spell dmg but a decent amount of str. There will be a lot of tradeoffs.

GL and i'm glad to see people playing more ret pallies.

Nov 29th 2007 4:11PM Typically when i'm in eots i've noticed that the person who is complaining the most about nobody defending, is usually the person who is not trying to defend in anyway.

If you have time to bitch about people not defending in bg chat please make sure you are actually defending in the first place!

I would love to see an arena ruleset moved to the bg's.

New mounts, new rewards. It would bring back a bit of server pride.

SoV is useless for pvp. It may be good for tanking and what not. But for a ret spec pallie it's utter crap.

I'm an old school ret pallie. I wanted to dps and off heal as the game let you do in beta. Apparently blizz didn't agree.

It really sucks that blizz decided to give the horde exactly what alliance pallies have been screaming about for the last few years previous to bc.

I think they were trying to mold us into an offensive tank?

The change in 2.3.2 for CS removes spell dmg completely.

Which will make spell dmg even more useless, i'm so glad they didn't change the season 1 or 2 scaled gear to remove spell dmg and replace it with resilience.
