Nov 26th 2008 12:05PM You mention that the citizens of Stormwind were once refugees in Lordaeron, but you fail to mention that currently the reverse is true. There are several survivors of the kingdom of Lordaeron in the Alliance. Even with the city out of Alliance control, the Alliance uses the seal, and past residents use the battlecry “For Lordaeron!” Also, the history, architecture and culture of the city of Lordaeron are that of its past, living residents, who were not unified in undeath. I would contend that these refugees have MORE right to the city than the Forsaken.

It’s obviously complicated-an unfortunate situation arising from the fact that the Forsaken are still moving around period. I’m not disputing that the Forsaken have a valid argument for occupying the ruins of Lordaeron. It’s obvious, in game, that the city is nothing like its previous state. I’m just saying that the Forsaken are not the only people with claim to the city. I think if a court were to have decided custody, I imagine that the refugees would have gotten it.

The forsaken all have a common history of service (albeit involuntary) to the Lich King. I don’t think it is unreasonable at all for humans (or ANYONE for that matter) to not trust them. Being dead changes you. Your priorities shift when you’re immortal and scorned. I think there is a strong undercurrent of sinister intentions with the Forsaken as a people, and that’s part of the fun (for many people) of playing them as a race in game.

Oct 27th 2008 2:02PM What's interesting is that the Alliance and the Horde quests cite different cures; there are actually two.

The Horde use a second plague to counteract the first.

The Alliance use a "concentration of Light from the Naaru of Shattrath, and the shared benedictions from the faithful" in order to create a holy artifact of "profound power."

The Alliance's cure is clearly less shady, but far less interesting, and kind of generic.

Oct 6th 2008 12:14PM Between Earth Shock, Grounding Totem, Earth Shield and ghost wolf, they're not exactly easy kills for mages. If they're good at line of sight, as well, it's a ridiculously frustrating experience.

I'm not sure how the 80 talents/skills will balance out, but it doesn't look like they're going downhill either. I'm pretty afraid of Hex.

I don't know. I could just be bad. I also didn't say I GOT killed by them, but rather, that they're frustrating TO kill 1v1 as a frost mage.

Resurrection etiquette {WoW}

Sep 26th 2008 2:46PM I completely agree with this post. Due to quick re-spawn in many instances, it's actually detrimental to NOT run back together.

When I play a priest, I've never been so bold as to not res a lazy player. Although, it's justified, I'm more practical than spiteful. Usually if I have someone in my group with that kind of attitude, I'm obviously pretty desperate.

New racial abilities for Wrath {WoW}

Sep 8th 2008 2:48PM First of all, racials are a dangerous thing to change, since many people (myself included) chose their race based on racials. (I picked a draenei priest for the mana-free HoT, fear ward and Symbol of Hope)

The human racial makes no sense to me. What? Why?

The spell school miss % is a welcome change in my opinion. 2% is noticeable but not ridiculous.
Yet, the changes seem pretty inconsistent to me.
-Undead getting Shadow Resistance nerfed? I guess they wanted to differentiate between Draeneis. But, Undead don't seem to get any sort of compensation. In fact, their other racial is nerfed?
-What seems REALLY inconsistent to me is the Blood Elf resistance. 2% spell mitigation period? That seems extremely powerful to me. It would make more sense, given current racials, for it to be 1%. 1/2 the resistance spread across all schools.
