The Daily Grind: What's your most embarrassing mistell? {Massively}

Jan 6th 2012 3:09PM The best MT I’ve heard was from another “Guild” in FFXI:

“Nah, I make the wife suck it.”

I wish I were there to have seen the reactions.

The Wiki says that the Gamer title doesn't count as a HoM PVP title unfortunately.

Flameseeker Chronicles: Round two - Fight! {Massively}

Oct 4th 2011 1:20PM @Ehra
You're right they did nerf it, but it's still very tough because the max party size is 4 and the enemy party make up is random so it's not uncommon to fight against a MM, people with a rez, and healers.

I actually did finish it last night (thanks internet on PvX builds!), but it's by far the hardest vanquish in Factions and incredibly unbalanced for what the difficulty of a vanquish is suppose to be.

Oct 3rd 2011 8:55PM Thumbs up to part 2. It was much more balanced and didn't break the game like part 1 (e.g. try Vanquishing Shing Jea Island with WoC especially Minister Cho's Estate).

Breakfast Topic: Do you actually do holiday events? {WoW}

Feb 7th 2011 1:16PM I did many of the non-PVP ones on my main and some on another main that I happened to come across (e.g. some Elders and Bonfires) thinking I could do the rest over subsequent years. Little did I know that the incomplete achievements would be reset.

I can’t stomach the thought of wasting my time actively seeking out Elders and putting out/lighting bonfires anymore.

Flameseeker Chronicles: Heroes ruined Guild Wars {Massively}

Jul 26th 2010 4:46PM "Group 7/8 - LF Monk"

That's pretty much spammed in every outpost/city.

As someone who came from FFXI where a member of my "guild" waited on average, 8 hours to 2 weeks for a party because he was playing an undesired "class" that he really loved, I'd say Heroes are a welcome addition (note: this has changed since I quit FFXI years ago). Unlike henchmen, their levels don't change depending on the outpost you start from. As some others have mentioned you can customize them and play however you like.

As someone who plays a generally unwanted class (Mesmer), I'm glad I don't have to wait hours for a party.

Wings Over Atreia: A whole new world, sorta {Massively}

Jul 19th 2010 3:59PM If FFXI is any indication, FFXIV will be mainly PVE.

Guild Wars 2 seems to be moving more towards PVE than the first one (though there was no ganking in GW since all PVP was done in battlegrounds).

Final Fantasy XIV not due for the Xbox 360 according to Hiromichi Tanaka {Massively}

Jul 12th 2010 2:20PM FFXI worked great on the PS2 (once you attach a USB keyboard).

Although the resolution and graphics were worse, the game itself played better on the PS2 (e.g. macros popped up instantly vs. the half second delay on PC which made a huge different for some jobs like healers, things appeared more quickly on PS2 such NMs which made claiming them a little easier with a PS2).
