Mar 29th 2012 10:26PM Glyph of tranquil grip... I had no idea this was even a thing til I read this article. Best decision ever. Of course, there's still the problem that the people who use death grip indiscriminately now do so because they don't know any better, and so probably won't be aware of the fact that there's a glyph to change it. But it's a step in the right direction.
Mar 29th 2012 10:09PM I was curious about pet battles before, but not terribly excited. Now though... Rare pet spawns? Zone specific pets? THIS WILL CONSUME MY LIFE.
Mar 29th 2012 9:19PM I guess that these have no real impact on the game, so they'd probably be ok. It's just cosmetic. I've got a bunch of screenshots of a day in dalaran when a gm was present, turning people into giraffes and carrion grubs. I think if it's fun, and it's not an exploit, they'll allow it.
Mar 29th 2012 8:44PM Aw, i wish I'd known about this a week ago. I'm about to be without wow for the next week or so, then I'm gonna make so many potions!

Holy crap, gimme that tiger now!!
Mar 28th 2012 7:27PM I dunno... I think there's a number of specs in the game where you can put out decent numbers with an incredibly basic rotation, but it takes true skill to reach the pinnacle. Ret pallies play fairly similarly; keep up inquisition, cs in place of ss to generate your combo points, templates verdict as your finisher andwill net you reasonable figures, but you're not going to top charts unless you really get into the nitty gritty of cooldown use.
A bm hunter is another example where you can pull reasonable numbers with a basic rotation by putting up serpent sting, using kill command on cooldown, and dropping in a couple of cobra shots and an arcane shot when it's off cd, but if you want to be better than average, you're going to need to figure out haste plateaus and cd timing.
Having some specs that aren't incredibly complicated just to do well isn't a bad thing. Easy to learn, hard to master is a good philosophy. Not every spec needs to be aff locks or sub rogues or john f ing Madden feral druids...
Mar 28th 2012 6:47PM Aw, but season three of the wire is so good! I love you, stringer.
Mar 27th 2012 12:25AM I was a bit confused by this too. Right now, it's ten charges, for 10 minutes, with a 2.5 second internal cooldown. So if you think your shield target is going to take more than 10 hits in 45 secs, it's worthwhile glyphing.
I guess if you're up against a boss with a slow swing timer, then it might be pointless, but the way I figured it, unless your tank has something like 40% or more avoidance, they'll blow through those 10 charges on trash pulls longer than 25 seconds, or bosses with swing timers shorter than say, 2 seconds.
