Oct 15th 2009 1:01PM I beg to differ on rogues not being able to tank. I've tanked HVH, HNex and HUK.
I am uncrittable thanks to 479 defense and a little resilience and Slight of Hand from the Sub tree.
I dual-spec'd combat, one for pure dps with fist/dagger and one for tanking with Hack'n'Slash. I can do 2.1k dps in tank spec. In 5-mans, I can pull 3-3.8k depending on buffs in dps spec. I have tanking gear.
I'm going to have the shoulder enchant from Sons of Hodir soon and with some gem upgrades I can drop my Sword of Courage or the tanking Axe from the tournament and upgrade to a dps sword or axe.
If anyone on Turalyon wants to test my tanking, look me up: Loudfiero
Look up my achievements, I ain't no noob but I got sick of looking for tanks all the time, now if a healer has the guts, I can tank. Magic damage is still a problem though but Feint and CoS helps. Did they remove the +magic defense gems??? I could swear in BC there were gems for that...that was before I levelled my JC...
Sep 8th 2009 7:22AM I had no trouble levelling my disc priest currently at 75.
I remember being 48ish earning Timbermaw Hold rep taking on 3 or 4 mobs at a time thanks to a glyph that makes my shield do damage when hit.
Disc is OP but please don't tell the developers that. I can heal a Northrend regular instance and still do 400+ dps to help speed things up. Holy Nova I love you!
Aug 4th 2009 7:30AM @56 my priest was healing ramps and BF. Discipline FTW!
@45 I was grinding Timbermaw Hold rep taking on multiple mobs up to 5 levels higher than me, shielding, holy nova, renew, wand, holy nova, wand, renew, shield
Nobody tell anyone that Discipline is OP.
At 73 I healed HoL.
I regularly do 400 dps and heal instances as disc.
I love AoE healing + shielding + dpsing with 1 button!!!!!!!!!!
After my rogue, my disc priest rocks my world!
Jul 23rd 2009 7:51AM Combat NEEDS haste! That ring is da'bom!
Armor penetration is sweet too. But seriously - more expertise please! I'm up to 412 hit in Naxx25 + Ulduar10 gear...
May 22nd 2009 1:54PM This is an epic win for gamers everywhere.
I wold have paid $50 for MP1&2 by themselves. Heck, $60.
I beat 1 and never got into 2 and am still stuck on the first real boss in 3, but now perhaps I will re-visit 2...them move back onto 3.
May 20th 2009 12:39PM I love Discpline even more since 3.0....
I can heal a 5 man and still put out 400dps at level 71.
How many other healing specs/classes can do that?
May 12th 2009 10:00AM I think it's sad that Shadowmeld works better than Vanish...
I think it's sad that Escape Artist is useless in Northrend.
I think it's sad that Every Man For Himself was given to humans and is also way better than Escape Artist.
May 5th 2009 9:01AM Also, the Wii's gpu is internall 3x faster than the GC's.
You rarely have framerate issues with the Wii.
Infact, playing a game with framerate issues on the GC on Wii hardware (such as running up the middle in Madden '05 on the GC) is perfectly smoothe on the Wii in GC mode because they don't slow down the gpu, only the cpu to go to GC mode.
May 5th 2009 8:42AM The Wii's hardware frame buffer is the limitation to going higher than 480p.
For it's size, it can hold a 1024x768 image in 16bit color. I believe the Wii's Opera browser renders in 1024x600 then downscales to the final 16x9 480p ratio.
What I think this video is using is full-screen anti-aliasing. It bleeds the color on edges where 2 different colors exist. It used cell-shading and FSAA so it looks better than 480p... Movies use full-screen anti-aliasing and that's why movies (DVD's) look great for 480p. Color-bleeding happens naturally with video cameras. With games it has to be programmed in.
