Mar 16th 2008 1:03PM Heh. They're not going ape shit because they know cyclone isn't balanced. It really could have been nerfed a lot harder. It's by far the most powerful cc in pvp. Not only is it undispellable but you can't recieve heals while in it. That made it extremely easy to cyclone someone at low health making him immune to heals and then cycloning his healer making it near impossible to survive. I think anyone who cares about pvp realizes druids have way too much cc. Being rooted, cycloned, feral charged, etc for an entire match just isn't balanced. People in polymorph are healed and it can be cleansed. You can recieve heals while feared and it has a chance to break. It also can't be spammed to the extent that cyclone and roots can where diminishing returns are reset by the time you're done using one or the other.
Mar 15th 2008 2:11PM I'm definitely an alliance dude. I don't really like the looks of the horde races or their zones/cities. I wish I had their racials though. I know everyone loves to give night elves a lot of crap but they'll always be my favorite. And I'm totally the kind of dude that would get in a real life fight if someone started giving me crap about being alliance. I'm ashamed to admit that but it's true.
GRAB YUR SWORD AND KILL THE HORDE!
Mar 13th 2008 4:31PM I think the warrior class took a big hit in a lot of ways in the expansion. The combination of druids and paladins being made viable tanks, the nerfs to warrior dps, the nerfs to warrior aoe threat and the reduction of raids to 25 man meant lots and lots of warriors lost their raid spots. I was also genuinely surprised to see healers get their solo grinding problems fixed while prot warriors got zero love from the devs.
Warriors left behind indeed.
Mar 12th 2008 2:48PM I totally agree. I'm not a big fan of the direction the game went in TBC. I'm not really interested in playing World of Startrek. I'm looking forward to getting back to the axes, castles, forests and mountains of Azeroth.
Mar 12th 2008 2:25PM Improved berserker stance doesn't benefit more from attack power instead of strength since strenth increases your attack power.
I also prefer 2/2 improved whirlwind. It leads to better ability rotations in my experience and is amazing for aoe pulls. I take a point out of improved dual wield specialization to get improved whirlwind maxed out.
Mar 7th 2008 7:10AM I somewhat agree with you Daine. There's a lot of little reasons for the tank shortage. One of them being the one you mentioned with the broken warrior mechanics of backwards rage generation. But at the end of the day it isn't what's keeping me from tanking more heroics. We had that same problem at 60 and I still tanked all the time. The problem is my threat is just broken. I just can't hold aggro very well which means people steal aggro, people die, then people get annoyed and leave the group and then they refuse to do heroics with non-prot warriors. A simple buff to sunder threat would solve a lot of these problems. It would make tanking more idiot proof. Now I don't have to worry about that stupid fire mage stealing aggro constantly with rank 12746 pyroblast 2 seconds after I pulled. It would just make holding aggro less aggrivating and tanking more enjoyable in general.
Mar 5th 2008 11:42PM So druids can spam their aoe tank abilities without problem but warriors can't use thunderclap? Lame. They need to make this change to whirlwind as well.
Mar 2nd 2008 6:50AM I overdosed on caffine once. It's not something you want to experience. I could feel myself dying and my organs shutting down. Pretty scary. I was trying to do really well in school and I felt taking lots of caffine made me extra sharp. So I literally drank about 6+ cups of coffee at every single meal. And to top it off I chugged "ripped fuel" pills. I literally would take maybe a dozen a day along with 20+ cups of black coffee. They were the pills a baseball pitcher died from using and the chemical in the pills has since been banned. I did that for a couple weeks. I'm lucky to be alive. I passed out from pain in my friends car in the fetal position and that was the wake up call. I never went to the doctor but when I woke up I was ok luckily. It was crazy but it did work. I had the highest grades in my school for a couple months probably and I was s meat head jock usually. Moral of the story is don't abuse these drinks and be careful.
Feb 13th 2008 7:31PM I can't stand shamans. Supposedely one of their talent trees isn't viable in 2400+ arena... So that gives them the right to cry until everyone who enjoys this game is as depressed as they are? Give me a break. Try playing a priest that "only" has 2 viable 2400+ rated arena specs. I'd stay away from warriors though because you'd probably quit the game in a fit of rage when you found out only one of their specs is viable above a 1500 rating.
So enhancement used to be the main battleground spec for shamans at 60. It isn't as powerful and elemental or resto spec. Get over it. Lots of talent builds aren't as viable as they used to be. You don't see a lot of dual wield fury warriors at any arena rating do you? How many backstab rogues do you see?
Besides enhancement shamans are FINE. I've ran into quite a few in the 1800+ ratings. They hit like a truck. They're still amazing in battlegrounds and duels as well. I've even seen enhancement shamans with 2200+ ratings. Just because there aren't a lot in the 2400+ ratings doesn't exactly mean the tree is broken.
And if they're trying to say that elemental or resto spec is broken then they can't be taken seriously. Elemental shamans have been ESSENTIAL for almost every single 2400+ rated 5v5 team since the beginning of rated arenas. They have teh highest burst damage by far in the arena. They kill those big scary MS warriors before they have enough time to switch to defensive stance. And a resto druid has the highest rated 2v2 team in the game recently.
Stop crying you spoiled brats. You have TWO viable arena specs. That's more than most classes.
