Apr 3rd 2012 11:50AM I think we will see the end of the pure DPS class in 6.0 or 7.0-- they'll add a Demon Hunter class for the next burning legion-based expansion, so that will be its own balancing work, but if there's another azeroth-based expansion somewhere in there, instead of adding a new class they might give everyone a fourth spec. That would be a powerful way to add some vitality to what will be a 10 year old game by 7.0 but would, as stated, require significant balancing and testing, new tank/heal mechanics, etc.
I think it will happen eventually, and we'll see the return of shockadins, tanking shamans, etc. along with tanking rogues, hunters and warlocks, and healing mages.
Apr 3rd 2012 11:41AM I enjoyed PVP in vanilla when it was AV all day erryday and the health pools were much lower-- I would kill a couple dudes as my hunter, run out of mana, then run in and get killed so I could rez with full mana again. I was a Blood Guard. These days it's so drawn out and long and hopeless, with appalling hostility not only from the other team but from your OWN TEAMMATES ... can't do it.
Mar 30th 2012 11:51AM PH means "placeholder". On that topic, NYI means "not yet implemented".
Mar 30th 2012 11:50AM I'm really tempted to race change my warrior to a pandaren, since I already have four taurens. For my monk I think it'll have to be pandaren since the animations are just that good, but we'll see. I'm also getting itchy to change my warlock to another race since she's been an undead for 7 years, but I don't want to be hasty with new models sometime down the road.
Mar 26th 2012 11:36AM Pandaren have been "real" to me since Chen Stormstout in the Rexxar campaign of WC3.
Mar 26th 2012 11:32AM I'm finding the female pandaren to be way too genki-cutesy, but I really love the fluidity and expressiveness of both sexes' animations. Can't wait to see the revamped old-race models.
Mar 26th 2012 11:29AM I don't believe they've EVER gone back and added armor sets for new classes. There is no level 60 PVP gear for DK's, and there may be some level 70 stuff that they can /use/ but nothing was ever added in retroactively. The only thing I can think of is level 60 Nefarian's "class call" ... DKs did get added in there, but that's a line of text, not an armor set.
Soooo it's possible that for monks, some level 60/70/80/85? pvp gear may say Class: Druid, Rogue, Monk in MoP, but they won't get anything new.
Mar 25th 2012 7:25PM Back in vanilla, trying to level as a warrior with a dagger and a shield. I even got a corpsemaker from RFK and was all set to use it but then my "friend" told me that it was too slow. I also had some blue leather twink pants drop that could have sold for quite a lot of money but I was advised to give them to another friend's hunter.
Mar 25th 2012 11:52AM Green fire hasn't really been a priority for me as a warlock, but I'll be happy to see it in game. I'm still puzzled about why it's taken so long, though-- mages have numerous duplicate polymorph spells with different effects, why was it so hard to give warlocks duplicate spells with green fire effects?
Mar 25th 2012 11:49AM I'm still of the opinion that druid forms should remain genderless-- worgen and tauren cat forms have manes because worgen and tauren of both sexes have manes/long hair on their heads.
