Dec 17th 2009 11:47PM FYI, the new servers and datacenter are already live.
Oct 29th 2009 12:07AM Another competition that ignores the majority of the planet makes this an irrelevant competition.
Jul 1st 2009 6:17AM The biggest problem is that support entails an inevitable 24 hour wait in between every single contact.
1. Send email
2. Receive response that provides basic information copied directly from the knowledgebase
3. Send email
4. Recieve email to clarify your issue
5. Send email
6. Receive email with possible fixes
(continue if required)
The better question is who would want to contact support knowing the collosal time-sink it is when there are other users who can provide instant feedback.
Apr 16th 2009 12:46AM Sorry guys, but after so long I expect better of Blizzard.
Good for you guys that you're happy to endure patch hell again, but the rest of us are left scratching our heads in wonderment that they could manage to once again screw up a patch.
Of course we all expect they'll figure it out in the end, what's the alternative after all, but this isn't exactly their first patch.
Apr 5th 2009 3:17PM Blizzard have so much content sitting around being wasted that the day they figure out how to utilise it for max level players will be a great one indeed. Just think about how at level 80 90% of the content in the game is completely irrelevant. Like heroics, this is an easy way to have new content without actually needing to make new content from the ground up.
I don't know how they'd do it, but if they could it's gaming gold.
Nov 9th 2008 11:18PM As much as I enjoy the complexities of the motivations of various characters in WoW lore, it frustrates me that in WoW itself these motivations are always swept aside in favour of: BAD GUY = KILL.
Not a single raid instance has allowed for the complexities of the huge characters we are annihalating, completely nullifying any and all lore related to them.
I wish it weren't so.
Nov 7th 2008 4:48AM It's less than a week until release - when do they think is a good time to let us know?
Nov 7th 2008 4:45AM I so hope this is true because then we can use this as ammo.
Also, can we please stop promoting the idea that many people downloading the client would somehow kill the internet? Blizz uses bittorrent for their downloads, thus distributing the network load over the many users connections.
The proof is in the patches to WoW which also use this method and whaddaya know: the internet - she lives! If you require further proof, millions of people download Heroes every week and the internet doesn't even burp.
Oct 14th 2008 11:52PM "I can't say I'm pleased by the massive VT nerf..."
I think you mean VE.
Aug 8th 2008 4:22AM Did they actually come out and say the mount won't be applied retroactively? I've read a mountain of forum posts and haven't seen a word yet.
