Mar 28th 2012 9:32PM Hey Jona,
Did you pick up Energetic Recovery in the Sub tree? Gives you a lot more energy to work with. I'm very new to Sub as well and have been doing ok I think with this on long fights:
Ambush > 5CP SnD
Hemo (if the debuff isn't on there) > Backstab > 5CP Rupture
Backstab > Recuperate
Backstab > 5CP Evisc
The goal is to keep up SnD and Recup on myself and Rupture on the target. That's all really.
Throw in some Shadow Dancing and Vanishing to Ambush more once you get used to that.
On the official WoW Forums there's actually a helpful guide for all 3 Specs.
Mar 21st 2012 9:10PM I get what you're saying, but I think Illidan and Arthas are legit examples.
I know they were never faction leaders in WoW, but I would argue that they played more important roles in Azeroth's history than some of the actual faction leaders.
But ... if Blizzard wants to continue claiming the Horde aren't "bad guys" they should stop making them follow, well ... bad guys :P
Mar 3rd 2012 5:45PM Cool, thanks for clarifying - thought I might have missed something.
It'll be interesting to see how the changes play out.
Mar 3rd 2012 4:39PM "...you can skew toward defense over power."
I like the changes he talked about a lot, but was there anything in there to indicate that you could lean towards one or the other? He just said that there would be both stats on PvP gear. Do we know whether gems or enchants will have one stat or the other or something?

I remember during Vanilla, those in raiding guilds had an enormous advantage over those who weren't simply because they had access to higher levels of gear and there was no such thing as dedicated PvP stats on gear, so that PvE gear was entirely appropriate.
The result was that to be really successful in PvP, you had to raid. I believe that's why they make that distinction with PvP gear now.
All I play is non-rated BGs. Even there, you can't get by in all PvE gear as it stands - unless your PvE gear is so superior that even when you're doing 30-40% less damage to a PvP equipped player, you still overpower them. In that case, gear discrepancy is the real factor. Believe me, I've healed the PvE equipped players, I've damaged them too - there's no comparison.
Feb 23rd 2012 7:41PM I don't care about DS nerfs one way or another, but I'm not sure about your reasoning.
Quests have never been hard enough to have a gear requirement like that. If they were, then any new characters would be in huge trouble since they would be coming to Mists with only Cata questing gear on.
Also, based on how long it takes people to max level characters after an expansion's release, I don't think Blizzard is worried about people not leveling easily enough.
Feb 16th 2012 4:55PM Healing is ALL I used to do in PvP and I loved it. Recently though, I felt like I got left alone too much by my team and have come to enjoy playing a mage more in random BGs (and CCing/peeling people off my healers and FCs :) ).
I mean, when I'm the only healer in AB and everyone leaves me as a healer alone at a node, guess how useful I am as a healer at that particular moment. And guess how many people I could kill if they came at me. And when I save someone who was about to die who then retreats because the situation is dangerous as soon as I dispel whatever is rooting them guess who's first on the To Die List? All of this happens way too often. Of course mentioning it kindly in BG chat does nothing at all because people are too busy defending ... the roads, or mid field. Arghghghghg. This is my rage face. I wear it when I heal random BGs.
Jan 21st 2012 3:28PM If you fear someone compromised your account and bought stuff with your VP, check your armory profile. It should tell you what gear you've obtained lately and if I'm not mistaken, the time and date.
Someone please correct me if I'm overlooking something here.
