Oct 13th 2009 7:12PM Want some lemon and lime for your bitters?
Isolated cases are just that. Still not fun, my condolences. I hope your phone is ok.
Oct 12th 2009 6:18PM Just because eric posted outside his own reply, putting his post in the same thread about similarly converging discussions laid out in an entirely linear and easy to follow way doesn't mean he isn't entirely correct.
Sorry Eric, you'll need to repost your reply, because none of us can figure out what the heck you are talking about or referring to. Sorry. /sarcasm
Oct 8th 2009 2:19PM What little claim to the internet I have is now yours gaseraki, for you have won the Internet with that quote.
Oct 7th 2009 8:13PM Thanks for the vote of confidence.
Oct 7th 2009 7:42PM It's true that epics does not equal killing a raid boss. But what blizzard wants to do is allow more people the chance without killing any challenge. The only way they can do that is by making gearing easier. That's half the battle.
The other half is the raiding, the strategy and teamwork, which is community driven.
When you fail to support a recruit you aren't helping the community. What you're doing is transferring elitism from gear to knowledge, which is certainly not better for the game.
Most of the core raiding knowledge is community driven, so blizzard is not to fault if a well geared player doesn't get his head around thaddius. Not to suggest that the information needs to be hand fed to each learning player, but a lack of patient and altruism certainly doesn't help anyone, except to inflate an arbitrary ego.
Oct 7th 2009 6:04PM Sorry mate, you can't be self-righteous and self-sacrificial at the same time. Pick one and stick to it. Mind you, we can already tell which one you have picked.
Oct 7th 2009 5:47PM He's being satirical, surely.
Oct 7th 2009 4:32PM He just asked a question, no reason to get all up in there about it.
Sure, the idea won't work with the socio-political architecture of the modern mind, but that doesn't mean that the concept is not viable :)
also, clundgren, swift is referring to the common ownership of all assets assigned by the state, which isn't strictly accurate, but pretty close.
Blizzard being a totalitarian dictatorship is hilariously accurate though, even though they are still sympathetic and generous.
I should rename my toon to Marx just for poops and giggles ;)
Oct 7th 2009 3:53PM I'm a good player, know my class, know my fights. I'm willing, and I'm interested in raiding. But I don't raid because I rarely have time to make it work.
Why do I need t9? So that when I CAN raid, i'm not pulling teeth by raiding with people who arent elitist asshats.
