The Creamy GUI Center: Resurrected and back in action {WoW}

Jun 28th 2008 6:22PM If Ace was used or not has nothing to do with the addon settings window, an addon shows up if the author has programmed it to show up. There's nothing else to it.

Insider Trader: Gathering, the final stretch {WoW}

May 31st 2008 7:26AM For anyone serious about leveling gathering, a few mods can make the task much easier, especially with a flying mount. Go on files.wowace.com, or your friendly local wowace updator, and download Cartographer, Cartographer_Data, and Cartographer_Routes.

This will give you a cartographer map (replaces your usual world map, many more features) complete with the position of every gathering node in the game. Carto_Routes can be used to generate the fastest route to move around a zone in order to get to all the nodes. Of course, a mod cannot tell wether a node has spawned or not, so its pure luck wether you get any. However, at least you know something COULD be here, and won't miss any on a single loop of a zone.

LFG Armory uses Armory to match up characters and guilds {WoW}

May 9th 2008 10:34AM http://armorylite.com/ is another armory mirror site, and it's fantastic. No fancy graphics, no animation, just all armory info condensed into the smallest form possible. Also, it's rather stylish. No, I don't have any affiliation with it, I just appreciate well designed sites.

Raid Rx: Analyzing your healers Part 1 {WoW}

Apr 22nd 2008 5:53PM Honestly, cluttering up your raid frames with buffs is rediculous, I use smartbuff, it give missing buffs notifications, and, when out of combat, auto re applies buffs. If i want to see someones buffs, i click them. Jeez.

Look for it on WoWI or something.

Upcoming interview with the author of Omen {WoW}

Apr 14th 2008 5:13AM Note my above comment. THESE ARE NOT RELEASES.

Upcoming interview with the author of Omen {WoW}

Apr 14th 2008 5:11AM This is because you are NOT updating to releases, you are updating to the absolute latest version of the code from the SVN. The SVN is a server that developers upload all code that they finish in one coding session. These changes can be minor or major, depending on what they were doing, but the copies on files.wowace.com are not *intended* for public consumption. If you want releases, try WOWI or Curse, instead.

TL;DR You arent using releases, get used to version incompatibilities.

What you can't do now that 2.4 is live -- at least not yet {WoW}

Mar 25th 2008 2:26PM Absolutely no realms are up. For me, the ingame list shows only Alleria, and it is offline. The web based list shows no realms up at all.

Reader UI of the Week: Adoru {WoW}

Mar 11th 2008 4:57AM Fear mongers like this make me sad.

The WoWACE updater is used by a thousands of people and is open source, I believe. STFU and learn something about what you are talking about. Using those updaters from shady sites like Curse or wowui.worldofwar.net, not such a good idea. But anyone calling a open source, very popular app like this a keylogger should be shot. Go back to your default UI and cry. Board up all your windows and act like nobodies home. Then unplug all your appliances because they might keylog you.

Is this what Windows 7 looks like? {Download Squad}

Jan 25th 2008 3:25AM You guys seem to forget how little time 7 has been in development. There will NOT be any great changes, just look at early builds of longhorn, they looked like XP. This could quite possibly be real.

And about the version number, why would they worry about that? Earlier builds of KDE4 were versioned 3.60,3.91 ect, until final of 4.0.
I heard somewhere that 7 would not be a huge release, rather a polish up of Vista, and would be versioned 6.1. We wont know until some kind of offical word.
