Apr 11th 2010 4:40PM Shouldn't be too hard to give the player two spells once he puts a talent point into Tree of Life-form. One enforces the form for the duration (a la Metamorphosis) with another particle-effect (player starts glowing and leaves swirl around), and the other spell is purely cosmetical and can be toggled on/off.
A minor glyph is just a waste of space for the player.
It's not hard for them to add another spell into the spellbook.
Jan 4th 2010 7:01PM That's darn good, had ye old shivers for quite a while during the latter part of the video.
Would have been nice to see an original story though, since there's a lot of neat storytelling done in the video I can imagine it would be better once it surprises people (the story of the Worgen have been widely discussed) for that bigger impact.
Also have to give credit for the soundtrack you chose, it enhances it very nicely.
And for feedback I personally am not too fond of the fighting scenes, they were pretty stale and the mages ended up hitting the scourge with their hands. A few spells casts in the city of mages perhaps? So it could be a bit more frantic, a bit more believable perhaps if more blows were slaying hits (Abomination cleaving down several mages from behind) rather than just going at it at one another during the scene.
Anyway, very nice production, if you have anything else going on please tell. I thrive seeing this kind of stuff.
P.S Add links on the YouTube video itself so it leads to your project/blog for more hype on your next project.
Nov 9th 2009 1:41PM The only WoW-comic that makes me really laugh, on WoWInsider?
Oct 24th 2009 11:20AM And this is why WoW should have a 'crouch' button!
Oct 21st 2009 4:57PM Honestly I think it's because beartanking is so utterly boring.
What was added since Wrath came into the tanking bears life?
Basically nothing, a Berserk cooldown and replacing any kind of coordination on getting all the adds in a large group replaced with swipeswipeswipeswipe.
There should have been one new ability at the very least that would make tanking more fun, right now it's optimized with ranged Growl, Feral Faerie Fire and 360 Swipe with Maul spam all the time. What the heck happened to being flexible with Feral charge and in general being very mobile in comparison to other tanks? That niche was given away to Warriors who also received our Frenzied Regeneration as well as Shockwave and Heroic Throw.
But foremost Wrath's instance philosophy is what ruined tanking for me at least, AoE does not equal fun in any way. It's basically just dumbing down the game and giving you more numbers on your screen.
And the ass on the new model is just ridiculous, unless they changed it since last time I saw it (not playing WoW any more).
However, this article is probably blowing the issue up a lot. As other people say it's a class with 4 directions.
Oct 4th 2009 7:27AM I think these are just NPC skins for Grimtotems. If you go into the thread, the guy who found it said it was found as NPC skins and he just added the pants straight ontop of the texture to make it look more decent for viewers.
Most likely an event of some sorts, which is exciting nonetheless but I don't think it's character customization.
Sep 5th 2009 6:49AM Gamon is such a people-person, he gets my vote at least.
And it wouldn't matter how many times you assassinate him, he'd just take it with a shrug.
Jun 5th 2009 9:33PM Yay, I thought the website would never come up ^^
Those guys commissioned me for the logo so was a bit curious what the result would be, but I'm liking what I see here :)
May 27th 2009 6:31PM I'm underwhelmed on this one, actually.
But I guess they need to differentiate the fur and Nightelves got the washed out version.
Also the sideburns, looks kinda awkward ^^;
I guess you'll beat Tauren at the Catform anyway so, might equal things out :p
May 26th 2009 5:19PM Wohoo!
It took a REAL long time for this to happen and I'm a bit sad it's so close to the original, but who can blame them when it's actually been four years we have seen our toon as the original (albeit looking like crap) forms.
Anyhow, what I am most excited about is the fact that they have 'unlocked' higher resolution textures on these models now, it was one of the most annoying things when retexturing the ones I had done before.
I love these but I'll most likely reskin them, even if only for personal use, I'm not too fond of the colouring on the brown one (mah toon has brown skin and I don't intend to change that). I hope Tauren Catform will take strides further away from the original monstrosity than perhaps what Bear have.
*hugs and slaps blizz*
