Blood Legion scores world first Lich King kill {WoW}

Feb 3rd 2010 5:42AM Hell yes, finally that bitch is dead and I never have to hear his whiny emoness ever again. Arthas is one of the most overrated villains as far as I'm concerned, glad to see he's gone... now if ONLY Garrosh and Varian would bite the dust I would be happy.

WoW Insider interviews WoW manga series writer Dan Jolley {WoW}

Apr 15th 2009 6:28PM Wait they had a writer? I thought they took the resident evil approach of "put a bunch of words in a hat, pick them out, throw them together, and thats your story".

Encrypted Text: Rogue defenses need to lose the RNG {WoW}

Mar 25th 2009 1:36PM Over analytical, Rogues can demolish a large majority of players without needing anything, if a shaman gets hit by a rogue you might as well afk, because you will be dead long before stunlock ends.

Rogues have... alot of cooldowns, but thats exactly why they are so dangerous, you may say "this one cooldown isnt enough", but most rogues are popping 2-4 every single fight, because there is pretty much no penalty associated with doing so, this is why 1v1 a rogue can destroy JUST about anybody with the right spec (pre-nerf muti could simply smash even plate wearers to death within a stunlock).

I also disagree its skill to beat a melee'er by hitting your evasion button and attacking, or CCing until you can stealth and then stunlock over again. And by CCing, I mean hitting blind once, or if they have a trinket on, hitting vanish. It does take more skill for a rogue to down a ret paladin or a DK, but that doesnt speak so much for rogues being weak as those specific two being too strong, and hunters? really?

WoW Rookie: Hear, hear for tier gear {WoW}

Mar 11th 2009 10:46PM You forgot Tier 2.5... AQ40.

UPDATED: Bag of candies working as intended {WoW}

Feb 13th 2009 2:54PM This is where blizzard fails, RNG achievements are random and has nothing to do with the player achieving anything other than being damn lucky.

Winter's Veil and Lunar Festival were fine as far as I'm concerned, it took effort on your part, exploring, and general participation, and had nothing to do with luck, that is fine, anytime an achievement says something like sayy "please wait for this 1%drop" then blizz has failed.

There are exceptions of course, something like fishing is BASED around basically repeatedly looting, so it makes sense in that context, getting a drop from a daily, notsomuch. (IM LOOKING AT YOU STORMCHOPS!)

Also anyone who says "You want achievements for free! Everything should be easy for you, whine less." Well boo hoo to you, because this has nothing to do with difficulty and entirely to do with the fact you can get completely screwed for doing nothing wrong, and merely having bad luck (I did Headless Horsemen every day, 10 times (alts), plus the 1 hour trick or treat constantly for the entire event, I got about 15 hallowed helms, 0 squashlings).

Waging the war against "lorelol" {WoW}

Jan 18th 2009 4:06PM Your way off on one thing, people werent all that opposed to killing Kael, Illidan, or Vashj... no people were mad about Kael being a demon crazed freak, breaking his established character up to that point. People were mad about killing Zul'jin because it wasnt epic, it was some rednecks wanting lewtz from the zone that sent you in to kill him (no matter how badass the intro video made by blizz made it look).

Lorelol isnt because people hate things new, its because it breaks PREVIOUSLY ESTABLISHED traits. Killing malygos and what it meant was a bit grey, his character going all Knight Templar after becoming 'ne', when it appears hes gone totally crazy IS off the wall.

The "stargate" actually had a long background of magical preperation before it ever appeared, on the other hand when we hit outland were treated with magical flying electrical castles and interdimensial spaceships, its not quite the same thing when its built with far off in the future technology as opposed to a whole bunch of mages/wizards/warlocks all channeling for weeks to create the things, there was no major technology involved, which makes sense in warcraft.

I like the draenei though, so yay for that.

Tips for Strand of the Ancients and how to win it {WoW}

Jan 7th 2009 7:47PM What are you smoking and where can I get some?

BG participation is at an all time low, strand of the ancients included.

WRUP: I loathe/love achievements edition {WoW}

Dec 20th 2008 4:33AM Realized I didnt get my Brew of the Month membership because during Brewfest I was busy dealing with real life issues, and now noticed I cant get the violet proto-drake for an ADDITIONAL YEAR because of this ONE SINGLE achievement which requires a whole year to complete and has no way to start late.

Totem Talk: Halls of Stone and Lightning, CoT Stratholme {WoW}

Dec 18th 2008 3:08PM I personally refuse to wear the fist weapon from heroic CoT, and my guild and I have started calling it "the sock puppet". Sometimes you just don't want to shame yourself that much for the sake of dps.

Why "easy raids" are a good thing (for now) {WoW}

Dec 9th 2008 2:06AM Did you just compare the laughably easy boss fights in BT and Hyjal to old Naxxramas? BT has a few fights that could compare, but Hyjal? not even close.
