Dec 5th 2008 11:19PM Personally I have a retail account and I private server because I like fooling around with GM commands or looking at gear and/or talent builds without spending any gold or farming effort. I private server for the stuff WoW doesnt let me do, and I WoW because WoW works.
Nov 19th 2008 4:13PM I personally like the novels, but the comic was garbage from issue one, filled with ridiculous amounts of wangst (look it up), and it only grows worse as it goes on, spilling over into World of Warcraft (Varian Wrynn, Undercity, blare some Linken Park and watch him scream at the horde for no particular reason when he knows exactly what actually happened).
I actually liked all the novels I've read, but im a fantasy buff, so im a bit biased on that note, although maybe its the fact none of the characters angst out so hard for so long that you want to scream at them "GET OVER IT!".
Nov 19th 2008 4:05PM Like cats need an AE, I saw one use Bite at level 76 for 8900 damage, 8900! Their single target damage is high enough that it doesnt really need help, and if you really want to AE, go bear aand swipe, if you have a tank already, his own AE's should handle those piddly extra 1hp mobs anyways.
Shamans don't need AE, but for AEing, magma totem sucks, hands down. I only use it to block paths so rogues cant stunlock me to death in a tower in AV, otherwise I never touch the dang thing.
Nov 14th 2008 6:06PM Zombie event was laughably tedious, and the fact that there was no adequate protection from the damn thing (zombies ended up killing argent healers if enough attacked him) made the whole thing just a grief fest, you couldnt fight back since if you got hit you got zombified, if lots of zombies, instant zombification due to the timer reduction. If the event had worked, azeroth would be entirely under control of the scourge, the only part of the event I liked was the undead that came pouring out of the cathedral of light, that had me INTERESTED in how they appeared there... yet blizzard never elaborated on why a bunch of scourge were hiding in the basement of the Cathedral in SW, and I should mention that formerly the only resident of those catacombs is a member of the scarlet crusade... interesting, but never followed up on.
All the rest of the zombie stuff, griefing, more griefing, even more griefing, you couldnt choose to fight back unless you could cure the disease, and the fact this lasted for a week just made it all the more annoying, you could at least avoid the corrupted blood plague.
