The Queue: More on crowd control {WoW}

Dec 15th 2010 11:16AM What is the smoldering slab next to the water in the Valley of Wisdom? There is a spear lying on it and what appear to be bones, though the bones are the same color as the slab.

Breakfast Topic: Who will be the ultimate boss encounter of WoW? {WoW}

Dec 14th 2010 9:29AM I'm hoping for Hemet Nesingwary.

Breakfast Topic: Elementals vs. Zombies -- which event was better? {WoW}

Dec 6th 2010 10:33AM While I thought the elemental invasion was handled better from a design point of view, I will remember the zombie plague better. Mostly it was that it was so different from the regular gameplay. It had an emergent quality. As the infection reached its greatest intensity, my hunter spent the last couple of days holed up in Thunder Bluff killing waves of zombies.

The elemental invasion told WoW's story very well, and I enjoyed it; but the zombie plague, aside from a few quests, was the players' stories.

WoW Insider's Weekly Webcomic: Safe Passage {WoW}

Nov 30th 2010 4:37PM There are orphaned taunka and tauren infants in a few places, as well as troll and night elf. There's at least on infant dwarf in Ironforge. But yes, no children like the ones you mentioned.

WoW Insider's Weekly Webcomic: Safe Passage {WoW}

Nov 30th 2010 4:34PM I think the new texture works well in panels 2 and 4, but it doesn't communicate a sense of depth in empty spaces like panels 3, 5, and 6.

That said, I love the exchange here. The look of surprise on the night elf in panel6 is really funny. :)

Breakfast Topic: Will you be buying either of the new vanity pets? {WoW}

Nov 30th 2010 10:47AM I will not be buying these because it is a business model I do not wish to encourage. I also think it is a decision for each person to make, so I have no comment on those who do buy them.

The Queue: Back to the grind {WoW}

Nov 29th 2010 11:21AM I think it is probably a good idea for people to try all the starter zones. My wife and I did Mulgore over the weekend, and while I loved the lore and setting before, it is really clear that Blizzard has improved its quest design. The improvements in their tech since release are evident as well. The NPCs didn't just tell us that they are fighting the Bristlebacks; there was fighting going on all over up there.

Azeroth In Pictures: Before The Shattering {WoW}

Nov 23rd 2010 1:07PM Last night, my wife bought a Big Berry Pie in Dalaran, and we went to Orgrimmar. Then we rode our kodos down to the Southern Barrens. We made our last visits with Gann Stonespire, Grish Longrunner (by the Great Lift), Brine (on the hill above Blackthorn Ridge), and Jorn Skyseer in Camp Tauraho. Then we rode to Thunder Bluff and after dealing with an elemental interruption, we sat beside Cairne, ate pie, and watched people come kneel before him. Then we knelt and logged out.

I guess Baine will be there when we log back in. I'll wish him luck; he's going to need it.

Sunday Morning Funnies: Hack kak {WoW}
