Mar 31st 2012 10:33PM Can you not set the iphone to use the same key as the physical authenticator?
Mar 12th 2012 5:49PM I really miss my Zapthrottle mote extractor. My main is a leatherworker and engineer. I liked being able to use engineering as a pseudo gathering profession. The change to volatiles just made engineering a bonus to mining/skinning/herbalism. It seems like the volatiles market (particularly air) is under-supplied for this point in the expansion cycle.
Mar 10th 2012 2:32PM 1. I agree with Ghostcrawler.
2. By offering a lot of customization out of combat (different specs, different talents) and buff consolidation, it allows for some really creative game play. (E.g., "on the next pull we'll have the warlock's succubus seduce the caster, the feral druid will root an add and off tank the devastator." Then it could all change up on the subsequent pull.) This is a different objective (and I would argue a better one for "game play") than "let's make the talent choices have long term consequences."
3. WoW is an ongoing experiment. If this doesn't work out they adjust in future patches/expansions.
Mar 10th 2012 2:22PM Does the change to daylight savings time effect the world in WoW in any way? (E.g., will the change from night sky to daylight animations be adjusted so they happen at the same time, or will they be off by an hour until October?) Do daily quest locks, raid locks, etc also shift an hour? I guess, basically this is asking if the server clocks adjust to daylight savings time.
Jan 30th 2012 4:37PM So what could they do to make 25 man raiding more attractive? I believe that was one question the columnist asked. Blizzard could create software tools that would make the logistical and organizational challenges easier. Perhaps these are really the domain of add-ons, but the argument still applies. Figure out what information the raid leaders need, and then figure out how to get them that information as painlessly as possible.
Jan 24th 2012 4:45PM And I assume barkskin stacks multiplicatively with SI so that you'd take 40% of incoming damage if you used both cooldowns at the same time. (Damage taken = incoming damage x 50% x 80%, not -50%-20% = 30%.)
Jan 24th 2012 4:35PM I'm a bad tank. It's probably been years since I've actually looked the the tooltips. Didn't SI used to increase your health rather than reduce incoming damage (and so you'd use it in conjunction with FR)?
How exactly does the four piece bonus work? Does the raid get a percentage of your health or their health? And what happens if to the raid if you have FR glyphed?
Jan 11th 2012 8:19PM It seems to me that Cata is a failure in that there is literally NO jewelry with agility AND dodge, and no leather with dodge. Blizzard will not itemize for druid tanks. Why? And what message does that send to druid tanks?
Jan 11th 2012 8:14PM We should do away with all the current "secondary stats." All gear henceforth should come with "secondary stat1" and "secondary stat2." The effect secondary stats have for your character would be determined by class, spec, and some talent choices.
Jan 10th 2012 9:21PM OK so there isn't a heroic DS agility necklace. There are exactly four necklaces in the game with agility and item level greater than 395. One off Rag in heroic FL, a VP one, and two PvP necklaces. Using Wowhead's default bear tank weights the mastery PvP necklace is clearly the best for bears. Sad.
