Mar 28th 2012 7:33PM I hold back the Sub tears as I read these two pieces man. Seriously, love the concept behind Sub pve (and pvp, where I got started with rogues) but damn if it isn't probably the most difficult dps I've tried out. Just killed my desire to play the class because the lazy combat could match my researched and honest try at Sub.
Still, I may go back into it to see DS as melee for a change.
Mar 23rd 2012 2:23PM Plus it would give an "out" for Blizz if they want to keep Garrosh as somewhat good by having him fight against possession of the Sha. It could be a fight mechanic where every so often he wrestles control back from the Sha and you can deal extra dmg to him as he shouts "I will not let the anger control me!" or some hokey line like that...
hopefully less hokey.
Mar 23rd 2012 2:16PM While i'm really liking the theories of Garrosh throwing away the lessons he's learned through the cata leveling quest and joining, being thrown into the shadow council, or even drinking the demon blood because of the pressures of the new hored vs alliance war, I don't think Blizz will really go with that. They'll probably want to keep Pandaria really connected to this whole conflict, and there's one evil that we really haven't learned much about but has huge ramifications: the Sha.
I have to go with some Sha getting a hold of Garrosh and tearing him a new one and taking over. That gives a really good reason for both Horde and Alliance to go after him and gives you a whole lot of design and mechanics possibilities for the encounters and story.
Imagine a possessed Garrosh having new, crazy abilities and has to be brough down, but only the help of the new race on the block can really seal the deal. That would tie the pandas really tightly into the world for good, which is the same kind of treatment that help Blood Elves and Drenei (to a somewhat lesser extent) really get immersed into the lore for many players who were ignorant of their ways otherwise.
Nov 25th 2011 5:12PM I laughed at your last comment on Alter Time, I had not thought of that...
I'm now seeing growing possibilities, muahahaha! Here's hoping that spell lasts.
Nov 14th 2011 5:01PM Uhh, well... secondary lore characters with no demonstrated special abilities besides what we *assume* they *might* given a few tidbits and *guesswork*
No idea, whatever, FOR THE HORDE.
But no, seriously, no idea:a BE with access to tons of ancient knowledge and powerful artifacts vs. the leader of a strong faction of Light wielders is... a vague decision at best.)
Oct 25th 2011 3:35PM Truly, if ever a tie was begged for, it was here. But someone has to die here, the crowd demands blood!
Zanil walks to the center of the arena and straightens out his back. Godfrey, his curiosity peaked, does the same. They wordlessly stare at one another, waiting for the other to make the first move. Fordring, hearing the crowds increased agitation, calls out to the combatants again "LET THE BATTLE BEGIN!"
The troll and the dead man both smile as the same thought crosses each of their minds. The then turn, leap on top of Fodring, and eat head.
Oct 20th 2011 1:03PM Here's something I was thinking:
I know people can vote multiple times (not hard to figure out) but can wowinsider tell if there are a few people who are voting over and over again to skew the results?
Not that I would condone that behavior, no seriously.
Oct 17th 2011 4:06PM We've had fights come down to *three* votes in the past, so while I believe you weren't being serious with your suggestion, I really, REALLY hope it happens, only because that might break time and space... or, you know, another "MATHEW DECIDES YOUR FATE" deus ex machina short story.
Ether way, it'll be fun to see.
Oct 17th 2011 4:00PM Last I checked, this is the internet, so yes, there is uncooth trolling going on, always. But I say we can totally get it to work in our favor:
Oh MAN GUYS, I'll be SO, LIKE, MAD bro, if Zanzil wins this thing. VOTE FOR NO PANTS JAIL-BAIT!
/I think they fell for it
//facepalm at using an adult model for what's supposed to be a punk-ass teenager.
Aug 19th 2011 3:34PM An easy, and correct, idea to talk about, but proving an account bought gold and out right banning the account holds so many other pit falls for Blizzard that it becomes a much more difficult idea to put into practice. I have however herd of Blizzard dealing out punishments for buying gold on occasion, but I think they would rather get people to stop on their own than to hurt the entire player base by taking more players out of the game.
Of course there's their own desire to keep drawing money from even gold buying players, but there's also the risk that as Blizz began to outright ban people left and right they would start to like the bad guys even though they are trying to cut out the cancer. Not to mention people thinking they could take legal action for being ban while they paid their money to play. Yes, that issue would work itself out in the courts, but there *is* such a thing as bad PR, and such a legal battle wouldn't look so good.
