Sep 3rd 2009 9:36AM I'm glad to see this go in as well; Sons of Hodir is almost a "required" faction to gain rep with because of the shoulder enchants -- thank God my alt is a Scribe.
Of course, I would have been happy to have more tabards to wear for level 80 and heroic dungeons, but the commendations are a good idea.
Another suggestion would be a "Timear's Bounty" purse like the Champion's Purse for the Argent Tournament, so that people who are already exalted with all of these factions can maybe get a little extra coin for their trouble.
Sep 3rd 2009 12:04AM "Yes I still think faction change should keep you the same race only you are now a traitor to your own side."
I think it would be cool, esp. for RP servers, but Blizzard won't do it because they've said that they like the easy visual identification for PvP purposes. It'd give a "traitor" too much of an edge in BGs and world PvP.
Probably why Alliance will never get High Elves, either, since they share models as Blood Elves.
Sep 2nd 2009 1:43PM No one is missing anything. From the article:
"The only way to do that is by playing better: knowing your spec and how to use the bonuses you get, knowing how to deal with aggro and how to run the fights, and knowing the rest of your raid."
Aug 28th 2009 5:06PM They probably drop off of Pandaren mobs...
Aug 24th 2009 2:47PM "Is a lower armor class offspec? If im a resto shaman, and a really nice cloth piece drops, my guild says it is off spec. But is it? If im not tanking, who cares what type of armor I wear."
The cloth wearers care, because it means that instead of rolling against other Mages, Priests, and Warlocks, we'd also have to roll against Druids, Paladins, and Shamans.
Aug 24th 2009 2:37PM I was in a pug on my resto shaman, and a piece of loot dropped. (It wasn't a piece of gear, I think it was a Book of Glyph Mastery). I asked if I could need -- my shaman is a scribe -- but someone pointed out that it was not BoP and that we should all roll on it. Fair enough, I thought.
Someone else won it, and when there was a bit of downtime, they traded it to me since I could obviously use it. They didn't even ask me for money.
I think the new trading flexibility rules make it easier to smoke out "oops, I hit need by accident" ninjas and make friends. Because if it was an honest mistake, you can all just re-/roll, right?
Aug 19th 2009 11:25AM Your Rogue is stuck at 73 because of a nerf that hasn't happened yet on live?
Aug 18th 2009 1:52PM Someone beat me to it on my server, or I'd probably roll an alt to park the name.
Aug 18th 2009 9:15AM It's a minor thing, but I always forget to conjure a stack of mana hotpockets before I switch specs on my mage. That means I have to either use some of my "good" food or Evocate to get back up and running. (I'm working on this by making sure that everyone is buffed, mana gem is conjured, and a mage table has been done before I switch.)
And this will make someone's head explode I'm sure, but on the Shaman I'm levelling I forget that I can use Heroism. I've healed 3 Northrend instances and it wasn't until the third that someone pointed it out. *headdesk*
Aug 14th 2009 6:57PM My guildmates and I are trying to guess which quotes from The Onxyia Wipe will make it into achievement titles.
"We Need More Dots" and "Hit It Like You Mean It" are obvious candidates, but my favorite contender is:
"There Is No Aggro Reset" -- Defeat Onyxia without any member of the raid dying at any point during the encounter
