Feb 23rd 2009 3:14PM The fact that the content is easy doesn't change your gear choice sucking. There's no excuse for level 70 epics sub T6 for more than a week or two after hitting 80 if you care about raiding.
In your specific example Hat of Wintry Doom would've been an upgrade. More hit, same SP and a meta socket beats two yellow sockets and a blue. Plus the extra stats.
Jan 20th 2009 11:58AM Harder is a very relative term.
Very little raid wide damage, huge raid HP pools, and spammable aoe heals made for the most boring healing imaginable.
I never thought I'd want a return to BT/Hyjal/Sunwell levels of raid wide aoe damage, but at least then I had to work to keep people alive.
Oct 21st 2008 4:17PM Pain Suppression is lame even for Bloodboil. Just heal the fel rage target, it happens more often than the PS cooldown so you'll have to do it eventually anyhow.
Jul 18th 2008 4:42PM Totems are going raid wide, so you'll likely bring one enhance for talented soe/windfury/healing stream and one resto for talented mana spring/wrath of air/flametongue.
Some folks will end up with "unnecessary" buffs but thats not really a big deal.
Jul 18th 2008 2:30PM I dunno, I'd love 5% of my mana back every 45 seconds in raids. Especially with the nerf to VT that shadow priests are getting.
It is kind of odd for it to be such a 2 way spell, I'll either use it during AOE pulls where the knockback isn't a problem or in PVP where its a big bonus OR I'll use it as a mana pot with a shorter cooldown.
Jul 18th 2008 2:20PM Think about it in the situation of most fights in T6 content. The boss requires 1 tank, getting there requires 2-3. This means you can turn every boss attack into a saber-lash mechanic where all your high stam tanks get to share the load to an extent. That's a nice contribution from those tanks above their awful DPS.
Jul 18th 2008 2:18PM What on earth makes you think a weapon imbue and an oil can co-exist? They cannot currently and nowhere does it say this is changing that I can see. Which is as it should be, it'd be insane that I can buff the healing on my weapon with an imbue AND get the same benefit from oils that everyone else does.
This just means shaman consumable costs drop for raiding since +heal from the imbue is comparable to an oil.
Jul 17th 2008 4:18PM Try doing /questhelper or /qh and looking at the options to tell it to only show quests based on your level, this cuts out a lot of pain.
Jul 17th 2008 4:16PM Cartographer with the quest objectives module will. You'll also need one of the datafiles for it, I think, to have it pre-populate all the different stuff.
MobMap is another option and is useful beyond just questing if you need to farm something and want to compare droprates in game and then once you pick a mob to farm from have it plot their location on the world map.

Vent lag is separate from wow lag, so its easy to miss something on vent. Not to mention if two people key up at the same time and a time critical message is talked over by someone who wants innervate.
If you miss raid warnings, especially when in a situation where they are the primary method of communicating time critical data, you cannot raid at this level. You'll just as likely stand in the fire, miss a spell reflect, or do something equally asinine.
About the only fight where I'd really want vent is Arch, and the more I think about it the more I realize my guild's smoothest fights are the quietest ones even there.
