Sep 17th 2009 4:46PM Your pet is hard to kill? My ferocity pet dies in less than 5 seconds to a single warrior beating on it. This is in pvp gear, so my pet has about 200-ish resilience and about 23k hp.
Ulduar bosses can do ridiculous amounts of dmg to pets, especially Mimiron and Iron Council. Not to mention all the pet bugs around, ie. in arenas and instances where either the pet despawns (Yogg) or gets stuck (Ring of Valor arena).
Sep 10th 2009 8:10PM meh I use Linux but play WoW on Windows.. I tried playing WoW on Linux and found OpenGL to be a little bit "off", not sure if it's a bit jerky or what but it just didn't feel right. Not to mention vent doesn't work natively and I'd have to run it in a virtual machine or using Wine. I work in IT so at the end of the day, I just want to play WoW and not fiddle with trying to make a square peg fit in a round hole. As far as compatibility goes, it's up to manufacturers and the kind-hearted developer community to supply drivers - and most popular hardware has driver support in Linux. 90% of the stuff I plug into my Linux computer just work, including iPods (except the iPhone, damnit), printers, cameras, etc.. IMO, for people who are technically-challenged, either you deal with the inconvenience of Linux not being compatible with some hardware/software, or you deal with the inconvenience of paying someone to clean the trojans and crap from your computer.
Jul 29th 2009 4:06PM YES.. there are pve talents and pvp talents, and there are just plain bad talents..
Check out the hunter talent tree..
Pathfinding - increase the bonus from aspect of cheetah/pack (huh what?)
Improved aspect of the monkey - increase dodge bonus from aspect of the monkey/dragonhawk (lulz)
Thick hide - incresae your pet and personal armor rating by an insignificant amount
Catlike reflexes - increases your pet and personal chance to dodge (ok maybe if you're pet's tanking instances for you..)
Surefooted - reduce duration of movement impairing effects by up to 30% (ok for the 1-2 pvp abilities that AREN'T spammable)
May 4th 2009 6:04PM The only way I see doing this achievement in any reasonable amount of time is to grab a bunch of guildies or friends and do pre-mades. Last night I got bubbled while tapping a flag so I couldn't cap it in EOTS, that pally proceeded to run off and hide and not cap the flag so no one could get the achievement, and we went on to lose the game 4-capped because everyone decided to stop playing. Way to add more fun to the game, Blizz. In WSG, I killed 2 flag carriers only to have someone else return the flag since I'm ranged dps and obviously they're closer to the FC than I am. Now we have people in BG forums organizing cross faction groups to get these achievements done, thanks for another well thought-out achievement!
Dec 17th 2007 1:19PM I always thought that tauren should be able to milk themselves for mana water
Dec 12th 2007 2:12PM I've been 41/5/15 for a while now, pts in survival are for increased hp... I have 12.9k hp unbuffed in pvp gear, which is great in arena. I can hold my own in raid dps too. The increased stam scaling to my pet means he survives a little while longer than other hunter pets.
