Aug 26th 2010 5:45PM Hopefully he is on his yacht (or the Blizzard company yacht) as the quality of his posts seem to have gone down. I can't count the number of times he's used strawmen and other logical fallacies to defend problems in the Beta. I know his job must be frustrating at times, so he should take the time to walk away and take a break.
Aug 20th 2010 1:51PM There are some issues that are really hard to give a detailed complaint about.
For instance, the first tier of Shadow Priest Talents. Darkness and Improve Shadow Word: Pain are incredibly boring, passive talents. These are the types of talents we were told were going to be removed when we went from 51-point talents trees to 31-point trees. Also, Veiled Shadows changes two spells: Fade, which we get at level 24, and Shadowfiend, which we get at level 66.
Given this, I can't imagine that these three talents will not be changed by the time Cataclysm is released. However, how is a Beta Tester supposed to talk about this issue without coming across as crying about it?
How can you give details without just suggesting new talents?
From Darkness to Light: Remove all DoTs you cast on target to regen X% of maximum mana. All healing done by and do the priest is increased by Y% for next 10 seconds 30 second CD.
Strong Words: Targets affected by SW:P have their movement speed reduced by X%. Targets affected by Weakened Soul have their movement speed increased by Y%
Veiled Shadows: Also decreases CD of Mind Blast. (Will have to change Improved Mind Blast as a result.)
However, at this point some might say, "You're a Beta Tester, not part of the Dev team!"

Aug 18th 2010 5:44PM The issue is not to keep it or not. The issue is whether or not it is worth a 31-point talent.
I would much rather they break it up into three talents, like Veiled Shadows for Mana Regen, Phantasm for Snare Breaking, and another talent for Damage mitigation. And give us these talents earlier than level 69.
A 31-point talent for a DPS should give you a spell that is worth using EVERY SINGLE COOLDOWN. (Unless you are saving it for the upcoming boss fight.) The only time I've needed to use Dispersion every single CD is when the Tank is playing like he / she is late for work.
(On a side note, with this font, a C right next to an O looks like two Os in a row. That is cooldown, not oooldown.)
Since shadow priests are described as Mana Batteries, why not give use a 31-point talent that takes advantage of that? Give us a 31-Point talent that does insane amount of damage, but burns all of our mana. A channeled, uninterruptable spell that won't end till you run out of mana, or you or your target dies.

This is what I was saying on the WoW forums and it causes a major flamewar. It is the only DPS 31-point talent that is a situational utility talent.
It is only one of three 31-point talents that has any downside to it. (Resto Druids' Tree of Life slows their movement, while Arcane Mage's eat their mana faster.)
Is it a good talent? Sure. Is it a 31-point talent? I'm not buying it. It is certainly not a game-changer like many of the other 31-point talents.
Will I take it in Cata? Of course, because as a PvE player, it's either that this talent, or put another point in Improve SW:P. Lack of choices is not the same as being a great talent.
