Jan 11th 2011 1:07PM Sadly, it sounds like your "Spirit Bomb" macro will no longer be useful once 4.0.6 goes live: "Mana Tide Totem has been redesigned. The totem no longer multiplies the Spirit of those affected by it. It instead gives a flat amount of Spirit equal to 400% of the casting shaman’s Spirit, exclusive to short-term Spirit buffs affecting the shaman when the totem is dropped."

Nov 16th 2010 2:58PM While 30% more Stamina versus 30% damage reduction mathematically come out as a wash, a bigger health pool requires more healing to bring to full. In a world of reduced healing, that damage reduction is much more likely to keep your team going before your healer goes OOM.
May 23rd 2009 6:36PM As a JCer, I absolutely loved that you could replace "wasted" gem sockets (typically blues for most classes) with something with better stats. To me, the prismatics were more about getting those additional socket bonuses than the extra stats on the gems themselves. I'll agree that the combination made JC by far the "best" profession for min-max'ing players, however.
My biggest problem with the change is that currently Dragon's Eyes can only be cut into the single-color gems (Red, Yellow, Blue), rather than the mixed gems (Orange, Purple, Green). This will actually reduce the usefulness of these gems a bit as we'll tend to only socket them into our "best" socket colors (again, probably putting in red sockets) -- and if you only have one or two of these socket colors, you're actually being *forced* to forgo a socket bonus in order to get your JC bonus. That just doesn't sound right to me.
Honestly, the best solution IMHO would have been to introduce epic gems. Then the additional stats on the DE's won't matter that much compared to what everyone else could socket with, so the actually bonus for JC would be the flexibility of gemming.
