Jul 14th 2010 10:04AM Would love some dynamic environment that changed depending on where you were last time you logged off.
Think somewhere along the lines of Halflife2 - Where the "background" to the menu changed location depending on where you were in the story.
Feb 23rd 2009 9:03AM Didn't read all the comments, so don't know if it has been posted already.
When i do PuGs i wait untill everyone has rolled, if no one has needed i need the item and exclaim that no rolls will be done right now but that the shards will be distributed evenly at the end.
After the final boss takes his last breath we normaly have 1 abyss and 3-4 shards. The highest roller get the abyss, the rest get one each - or in the cases there are only 3 shards, the lowest roller get nothing.
Also note that in 1/10 heroics atleast one person is itchy in his heartstone finger, and as soon as one person uses HS anotherone is soon to follow. If they can't wait untill the rolls are done to HS then hey.. Too bad, to the enchanter goes the spoils ^^
Feb 17th 2009 2:55AM My guild sorts this in a fairly easy manner.
You chose what your mainspec would be when you applied to the guild, and unless the guild requires you to change this spec for further progress - this is what your mainspec will be.
Any other dualspec is considered an offspec, just as much as it would if you were to respec.
If you need an item for mainspec you link your current item when the "bidding" goes. Depending on your current guildrank(initiate/member/raider/alt) the raid leader decides who get the item to best suit guild progress.
If you want the item for an offspec you can /roll on it, but only if no one want it for their mainspec.
It works, it's fair. All that is needed is a raidleader who is not corrupt, and believe it or not, but they DO exist.
Nov 12th 2008 11:01AM Then you didn't see Hellfire when TBC was released :P
Is was like a bunch of maggots were released into a cabbage farm.
Then the servers crashed >

Aug 29th 2008 9:19AM Well, as someone allready has posted - Now would be the best time to "join" the game.
Wow isn't very hard to join tbh. As long as you know how to use the chat and not be a total ass at the same time you'll get far.
Asking(not spamming) for some nice person to help you answer some questions about the game - I.e. how to get gold at lower levels - in the general/trade channel will in most cases end with atleast one helpfull person whispering/replying to your request. ... and 20 idiots screaming "LOL GTFO NUB!" - but that's what the internet is ;)
Also, if any newbie is reading wow insider - don't spam/beg. Sure you might lure some gullible chap, but it will get noted by others - and being flagged as a spammer/beggar is not something you want to have hanging over you for the rest of your playtime.
Instead, find a nice person(they're hard to find at times, but they are there) and take his/hers advice.

Mar 12th 2008 4:09AM I am currently leveling a warrior for the 40-49 bracket.
Don't have much gear yet, but that will come in time. He's still just a lowbie, so time is not something i'm lacking ;P
Atm I have made a simple HTML page with links to the various gear i need(or might get for the fun of it), and it seems like i'm in for a grind...
When i think about making a twink, i don't feel like going for the second best items around, and this locks out most chinese farmer BoE gear, and forces you into instances.
This is one of the parts i like a lot about twinking. The "gearing up" part. After running BRD for the 30th time and finally getting that coffer drop is just an amazing feeling.
Either way i'm babbling now :P
For those of you who don't know what gear you can get for your level bracket, i suggest using wowhead.
The filters there is a godsend. Enter a max level requirement for the item (29 for level 29, 39 for 39 etc) and enter a minimum item level of about 10 levels lower than that.
This will list quite a few items tho, so i suggest going through each equipment slot, one at a time.
Might take you a few hours, but hey, if you want something done propperly then invest the time to do so - and as a comparison, those few hours won't even be near the time invested in actually getting the items ;)
Oh and don't forget about enchants. Sometimes you can find blue 66-70 items that sells for less than the actual shard you get for disenchanting it. This is an easy way to save a few gold(it adds up.. belive me). And if your main is not an enchanter, just ask a friend who is an enchanter to disenchant the gear for you.
This also applies to green items that disenchant into dusts, but a bit more speculation comes in when doing this, since the number of dust from each item varies alot, and at times you might get an essence instead - so in the end it might now be profitable(depending on your servers economy).
Either way, I hope this will help some soon to be twinks out there.
See you at 49 ^_^

Very true - the only prob I have with Grid though is that I can't get it to convert from a 25 man setup to 40 man setup on zoning into AV, so 3 groups are left without heals (unless I can easily target them). But for everything else, the Clique + Grid system I use for raiding also works very well for Arena and BGs."
You should get the grid dynamic layout plugin for grid.
Can be downloaded from the wowace page. It will attempt to automaticaly resize your grid frame to how many players/groups are actualy in your raid.
