Oct 9th 2009 11:52AM Crusader Strike and Stormstrike, but for my warrior I'd probably bind Execute. The slightest dip in into range and... DIE!!
Feb 8th 2009 7:55PM I've been to that ghost ship before, but not through death grip. I was on the boat from Menethil to Howling Fjorde one time and it bugged during the transition between continents. When I zoned back in I was at the empty boat.
I suspect it's a valid boat that simply doesn't move and for some reason when WoW looks up what boat to put you on it accidentally picks that one. In my case it may have been that for some reason the boat I was on was unavailable when I was zoning back in and it accidentally picked the extra boat instead.
Feb 28th 2008 1:53PM If you take a closer look at the numbers, it looks like more than the operation is a little off. Not only is the effect increasing the healing, it's increasing it by 66% of the original healing, rather than 50% (425 + 425*0.66 = 705.5).
Feb 21st 2008 1:29PM My two shamans are only low to mid level, but as a lore fan I've always loved the shaman class and it saddens me that they are considered less viable. However, recently I've been taking the point of view that Blizzard actually has plans for shamans.
Shamans were nerfed in the scaling to 70 precisely because they were so powerful at 60. The fundamental aspects of the class that caused this still exist, so to compensate they have been underpowering shamans, making everyone unhappy. Recent changes have brought the class closer to the other classes in terms of implementation of abilities.
I see this as a sign, combined with the mention of rethinking totems, that Blizzard wants to finally review and rework underpowered aspects of shamans, without overpowering them as they did at 60. Think of the most recent nerfs as Blizzard tightening up the fundamentals of the class so they can expand on it later in this progressive patch.
Jan 4th 2008 3:50PM The changes to help dps warriors tank did make a huge difference, but there is still a major block to pvp/dps warriors making the move back to tanking. I've been trying to tank with an arms/prot build, I have mostly blues for armor and one epic, and I do pretty well. Sure, it takes a very diverse group with strong cc and I have less redundancy when things go wrong, but I do ok. My biggest problem tanking isn't the instance itself, but with getting groups. People take a look at my spec, and then my gear, and don't want me. Even runs where we clear start out with a whisper: "Are you sure you can tank this?" I am slowly building a reputation, but without epics and with my spec people are wary, and so I have trouble getting epics to help me tank easier. There is an invisible wall, in my experience, to warriors trying to move back into tanking without abandoning the pvp/dps they've come to love. Sure, we can try to run as dps and roll on tanking gear, but most groups are only comfortable with that if they know you, or no one else could possibly use the gear (since we're not a "true" tanking spec). Plus, if you come from pvp like I do, you're probably arms, and just try getting dps invites then :(
Jan 4th 2008 3:22PM The other entry points aren't exactly new, they have been referenced before, just in very little detail. The primary focus has been on showing off Valgarde and Warsong, but there are screenshots of both Justice Keep and a Forsaken town which is presumably the Horde base in Howling Fjord. I imagine that the other two entry towns haven't been mentioned nearly as often in press releases because they are further from completion.
