Mar 18th 2011 11:01PM What am I missing, here? I'm at 349 iLevel, but I'm only at 136k unbuffed HP. "Quit when you get to 150k"? Ummm... I'm not really anywhere close and I got a whole bunch of strong tanking gear.
Mar 1st 2011 6:25PM I like to keep the Earth Shock debuff up on bosses, so Focused Insight is an awfully nice bonus on top of a spell I was using anyway.
Mar 1st 2011 12:06AM Sure, although that doesn't negate my original point. I'm not saying Crit is better. It isn't. Not even close. But it *DOES* provide some longevity, so saying that only spirit provides longevity (in the article) is misinformation. I'd be fine with saying "spirit is the only secondary stat that provides worthwhile longevity" or something similar, but I think it's worth noting factually incorrect info in the article.
Feb 28th 2011 3:44AM While it's clearly not as good as the other stats, isn't crit providing both more throughput (more HP/sec) and longevity (more hp/mana)? I think saying that spirit is our only longevity stat is just inaccurate.
Jun 27th 2010 5:00PM Good stuff. In the "Swapping Beacon" section, I think it's worth noting that it *is* worth swapping to a target of a longer spell such as Saurfang's Mark of the Fallen Champion. It's quite literally a wipe-saver in that case to put it on the target and keep up the healing. Obviously, the difference is the duration (Mark is until the end of the fight).
Mar 31st 2009 8:42PM ABSOLUTELY agree. I'm a big fan of Auctionator, which is lightweight and does everything I want it to, now that it'll split stacks for you.
Jan 16th 2009 3:09PM A way to easily solve the mobility issue and the recasting issue would be a single new spell that simultaneously recasts your last set of 4 totems. With a single GCD, you get all four totems on your new position. There's still a cost, but one that is worth paying in nearly all situations. If a particular totem is currently out, this new spell would simply move it to your current position, avoiding cooldown issues.
Sep 9th 2008 5:53PM You can't become addicted to MMOs or any other game. Addiction is a PHYSICAL reaction. What we're talking about is a compulsion, but that's not as sexy a word to the people who are trying to create stories instead of report on them.
Aug 12th 2008 7:02PM Netheara at 4:01 pm PST:
"The bulk of the BlizzCon tickets we had available were sold out within minutes of ticket sales going live again this afternoon. We have a small reserve of tickets left -- to make these available to some of you who might not have had a chance to purchase yet, we will be releasing the remaining reserve tickets for sale tonight, August 12, at 8:00 PM PDT. We appreciate the enthusiasm everyone has shown, and wish we were able to accommodate even more attendees at this year’s BlizzCon. "
Jul 15th 2008 5:30PM It's not a gold sink if you're just moving money to other players. That's not how economies work. A true gold sink removes money from the game world - a player buying something from an NPC or being charged for a service (AH fees, respecs, etc.). Paying for mats to level up a profession or paying someone for a cool inscription only shuffles the gold around.
