WoW Rookie: Weapon mastery {WoW}

Jun 25th 2008 2:17AM One caveat concerning feral druids and the "other attributes" comment is that procs do not work in feral forms. That nifty "has a chance to deal an additional 200-300 damage" is utterly wasted I'm afraid. Same deal for enchants that proc (Mongoose). It does work in Tree form or Lazerchicken form though.:)

10 things a new Shaman should know about fighting casters {WoW}

Jun 19th 2008 2:23AM One caveat I'd like to add if you see an imp out; unless it's casting firebolts in combat, it cannot be harmed. I'm not even sure if it can be banished if they just use it for the Dark Pact and stamina buff.

Basically, if you can see through it, leave it alone. If it starts casting and loses it's transparency, kill it.:)

The Care and Feeding of Warriors: Are we barbarians? {WoW}

May 23rd 2008 2:35AM If they do allow 2handers in one hand, I wouldn't be surprised if they also do a damage % reduction, like Barbarians in Diablo 2. One thing that does come to mind though, is whether you'll get the crit multiplier from being a 2hander or if it drops down to 1hander multiplication.
If it's 2hander, holy cow!

Arcane Brilliance: Mage versus everyone, part 1 {WoW}

Apr 12th 2008 7:14PM If you want to spend the time recasting remove curse, I'm more than willing to let you >.> Just gives me a minimum of 1.5 seconds more damage on you (barring haste of course), and I can always throw it back up if I feel the need. That's also 1.5 seconds my team gets to play with your teammates without having to worry about you. Good luck with that strategy.

DKP in WoW, more common than you think! {WoW}

Apr 12th 2008 4:34PM I personally had bad initial experiences with DKP, but after running "free-for-all" looting raids back before BC, I've come to see it's value. Nothing is more annoying than running AQ20 for Buru's shield 10+ times and having it finally drop and going to the pug dps warrior (he won the roll, i'm not crying about that) on his first run makes you see the flaw in that system:(

Due to the fact that I'm a night worker, I haven't been able to raid since BC, so I'm not too familiar with the loot systems out now. Loot council, I'll have to look it up:)

Around Azeroth: Workers of the world, unite! {WoW}

Apr 5th 2008 3:50PM Heh, I saw that myself on Cairne when I was turning in the wood-gathering quest:) Think I have a screenshot of it actually going in my head. >.> Macabre humour ftw!

Scattered Shots: Basics of pet control {WoW}

Apr 4th 2008 2:37AM One of my favorite macros is the mouseover, which is very handy for picking up adds, respawns, attempting to get the mob off the healer, etc. As follows:

/petattack [target=mouseover, exists]

Very handy for rounding up multiple mobs in a quick fashion, especially with Dash/Dive:) One of the reasons I love my Owl if I want to thread in a multishot in a fairly quick fashion. >.>

Character naming guide from Waaagh! {WoW}

Apr 1st 2008 2:48AM Heh heh. I've got a notebook next to my computer that has a few pages of various names. I've also got a pocket notebook that goes with me to work that has a few pages that hit me as I'm working.

All in all, I've been very lucky with the rule of three/four, with only one of my many characters getting hit with a abbr. that I didn't like. In fact, I just rolled a Gnome on Cairne that I was going to start out with the name Pippi, but realized that the younger crowd would turn it into a moniker that I'd rather not have. >.> Now it's shortened down to Pip, with the rule taken into consideration of what most people would call me.:)

Autofollow + AFK = bad idea {WoW}

Mar 8th 2008 5:44PM Lol, that is pretty funny:) I am wondering though if anyone else has the habit of watching WoW videos and keep trying to pan the camera around like I do >.>

Threat up with bears {WoW}

Mar 2nd 2008 5:20PM Only downside to a boar that I've encountered so far is that he has the occassional tendency to charge your freezing trap. Doesn't really happen terribly often for me, but it can have slightly deadly consequences when you're soloing an instance that's about your level:) Luckily, Feign Death works well for when things go downhill from him breaking my trap:)
