Wrath of the Lich King: Warlock roundup {WoW}

Nov 13th 2008 8:05AM Some of our hard earned epics will make it to 80.... well depending on how far you made it into raiding, but I'd imagine some of the T5+ stuff will make it into Naxx at least.

On another note, Demo has been pretty fun to raid with since the affliction changes made it almost impossible to keep up in DPS with all the burst classes. The pre-Wrath patch buffs to other classes made it difficult to be a raiding 'lock of any spec. Here's to hoping Wrath-raiding goes back to being as much fun as it was prior to the Echos of DooooooooooooooooooM!

Countdown to Wrath Giveaway: Day 3 - BlizzCon Polar Bear Mount {WoW}

Forum post of the day: No table for you! {WoW}

Sep 20th 2008 11:38AM I dont think it has ever been an issue in raiding. The reagents are just part of the gig. If you dont want to spend the cash on reagents for raiding, then possibly raiding isn't for you.

I'm not hardcore in BGs, but I dont see why it would be necessary for a mage to drop table in EVERY BG. Assuming the standard honor grind it is costing that mage well over 5g per hour to grind honor. I dont think any other class would be EXPECTED to spend that much. I do agree with making the spell reagent free in BGs.

If it is that important that you have your table, buy some Arcane Dust and trade it for the table. You could always tip the cost of the reagents. I dont think I have ever seen anyone tip for a table.

Afterall, it is for the better of the team right?

Warlock changes in Beta build 8926 {WoW}

Sep 12th 2008 8:40AM This didn't seem too bad at all... hard to miss some stuff you "never" had. Guess I'm not too stoked about paranoia and the Fel Armor changes though.

Naxx-10 loot discovered {WoW}

Sep 6th 2008 9:13AM Wow...items look pretty sick. I didn't look at everything, but the ones I looked at seem epic.

I think the +crit on the priest gear is a result of the gear homoginization.

Crit DoTs for Affliction, sorta {WoW}

Sep 5th 2008 8:44PM I like the "pandemic" idea. UA and Corruption are the two big money Affliction skills. SL is useless for the damage portion (so 100% more damage would be nice, but it is still not a lot), CoA is rarely up in raiding unless it's trash, and Immolate is considered Destruction and can crit with the splash effect. That said, I also like the idea of each tick of EVERY DoT having an opportunity to crit would be excellent. I would also like to see DoT duration scale with haste, but that would make for an interesting rotation, and almost eliminate SB spam.

Allow me to introduce my shield to your face {WoW}

Sep 2nd 2008 1:20PM I rock Shield Slam on my prot warrior for solo grinding. Its pretty fun actually, and adds considerably to the damage potential of my silly 9foot tall horned meat shield.

Forum post of the day: Using the Auction House properly {WoW}

Jul 12th 2008 9:58AM I'm always dragging the prices down on my server. People get ridiculous with pricing. It comes down to a simple question of volume and cost.

If I list 20 items on the AH and only sell 10 of them at 5g /ea with 50s each in AH cost my net revenue is 40g. {(10*5g)-(20*.5)}

But in reality I can sell all 20 at 3g each with an AH cost of 30s each my net revenue is 54g. {(20*3)-(20*.3)}

By reducing the final price by 2g on each item, I was able to sell more of the item and lose less of my AH deposits. In the end I made more money by selling volume with smaller margin on each piece.

The best part is, because we're in a free market economy I can price my goods how I would like, and you can do the same. In the end how successful we are will determine which one of us is right.
