The Queue: A rebuttal {WoW}

Apr 26th 2010 1:55PM Thanks for your concern, G', but since we're in a fairly close friends and family guild, she'd be using it to keep in touch with a good number of people she cares about. WoW is important to both of us, so she was wondering. The judgment wasn't really needed.

Picto, thanks for the heads up. Given that, would it be possible for me to buy a US copy and mail it to her? I assume she'd need the CD-Key, as well as the CD to actually install it. I remember that Wrath wasn't available for download for a while after it's release.

The Queue: A rebuttal {WoW}

Apr 26th 2010 1:38PM Hey, my girlfriend is gonna be traveling to Europe next semester. I was wondering if she'd still be able to play on our (American) server. When Cataclysm comes out, will she be able to buy a copy in Europe and still play here, or would she need an "American" copy?

Seems like a kind of specialized question, so this might not be the best place, but I figured I'd try.

Totem Talk: Enhancement 101 {WoW}

Feb 6th 2010 6:20PM Honestly, for a 101 guide, I'd recommend not using Flame Shock. It's a marginal benefit over just using the shock cooldown for an Earth Shock, and only if you make sure to never EVER clip anything. It's not worth the added complexity for anything but a top-end Enhancement shaman.

It'd be worth mentioning that Fire Elemental Totem is a dps boost, albeit a once-per-fight one.

Does Clearcasting really provide that much of a benefit that it'd be better than the second point in Improved Stormstrike?

Ask a Lore Nerd: The heads and tails of the Horde {WoW}

Nov 30th 2008 7:08PM Actually, that wasn't Garrosh dying there - it was Saurfang's son, also from Nagrand. As revealed in the quests at Agmar's Hammer, Saurfang chose him personally to lead the horde assault on the Wrathgate.

That also explains why you bring the broken battle armor back to Saurfang - it was his old stuff, and his son's remaining legacy.

Forum post of the day: Murphy's Law {WoW}

Apr 18th 2008 12:09PM Such as the inevitable one person who decides that he can run around Lurker's spout when we're just learning the fight, then dies, leaving no one to polymorph the add, etc.
