Oct 16th 2008 9:21PM Wildwary's 80 build is almost exactly the build I'll be playing on the way into Wrath.
Putting points into PvP talents is a big waste. Forget Elemental Warding, Astral Shift, Elemental Shields and Improved Fire Nova. All wasted points in PvE. I lean towards Eye of the Storm over Reverberation, but that (IMO) is more of a playstyle choice. Putting any points at all into resto is not to our advantage now, and I personally love Thunderstorm for PvE and raiding.
I guess to each their own, but the builds suggested by the author are definitely under the category of "oddball".

0/55 on mount drops. Never once saw either mount drop.
Oct 2nd 2008 12:34AM As a ranged DPS player who never really thought about the differences between ranged and melee DPS, I found the article to be of great use, and I liked the presentation of it.
Keep up the good work.

Aug 4th 2008 10:43AM As long as they have some really good loot--that is very usable for entry level raiders and beyond--tied to honor and marks, this kind of thing will happen. No way around it.
Couple that with the fact that honor from individual HK is pure crap, and the two problems lead to avoidance of actual PvP combat.
Want to fix the problem?
1) Go back to the old honor rank system for buying rewards. (removes the farm element)
2) Eliminate the battlegroups and make one huge battlegroup. (improves queue times)
3) Change AV to be a progression game. You must take down Galv/Belinda to unlock the ability to cap the next two towers. Put a dozen elite guards in each tower that de-spawn on death of Belinda/Galv. Once TP is turned, that unlocks the FW towers, etc. (makes defense really matter)
Jul 24th 2008 2:35PM There's obviously more to this story than we're hearing.
The idea that a hacker could get access to the CD key, personal information, *AND* their secret answer points to a hole in Blizzard network security more than anything else. That or an insider with loose morals...
