Patch 3.2: Replenishment nerfed, MP5 buffed {WoW}

Jun 18th 2009 4:00PM If you're playing a Ret paladin and are running out of mana, you're doing it wrong. Even with this change the only remotely threatening thing to a Ret's mana pool is that there was no mention of a reduction in mana cost for Crusader Strike to match its CD reduction.

Loot, rationality, and the Sunwell effect, part II {WoW}

Apr 24th 2009 12:21PM You're addressing the wrong problem. This issue isn't that the 25-man gear is better. It should be for all the reason you've listed. The problem is that 25 -man T7 was undertuned.

It was better gear for less effort. That was the problem. Sure you are herding 15 more cats on a weekly basis but your margin for error is huge compared to 10 mans.

The jury is out on T8. Hopefully, it is tuned correctly and 25 man in harder than 10. After all, to get the best gear you should be doing the hardest content, not just the hardest administration.

World of Warcraft listed as one of the 30 most offensive games {WoW}

Jan 9th 2009 5:31PM Adam, you may have been raised Catholic, but that does not give you some kind of shield that says your statements aren't pot shots against the Christian religion.

Yes, violence happened in the Bible. That's because the Bible is about real life and real life is violent. That on the other hand has nothing to do with whether or not there is violence in World of Warcraft.

World of Warcraft has violence in it. Many attacks cause the graphical effect of bleeding (not the game-mechanic effect as you suggested trying to make the list author appear stupid). These are true statements. Whether there is violence in the Bible has nothing to do with rather this is true or not.

And whether there is violence in a game is something parents want (or should want) to know.

You claim that you have no problem with people using the guide and then ridicule an entire religion on pretty petty grounds. I think you should examine why you feel so threatened by Christianity.

FCC Comissioner: World of Warcraft causes college dropouts {WoW}

Dec 11th 2008 3:23PM The game didn't contribute to you failing. Your inability to correctly prioritize your time and do your work caused you to fail. That WoW is what you incorrectly gave time to does not make it the game's fault.

Games don't fail college, people fail college.

Breakfast Topic: Should raid progression even be tracked anymore? {WoW}

Dec 4th 2008 8:13AM Wow, way to be a jerk.

Just because you and yours aren't having any problems doesn't mean that it's the same for everyone. And just to be clear, do you really want to call the vast majority of WoW players less competent than monkeys? Cause the vast majority of WoW players aren't even 80 yet, let alone "facerolling" through raids.

Unbelievable.

Matticus' powerleveling tips for shooting to 80 {WoW}

Nov 21st 2008 2:22PM So you read every piece of quest text? Somehow I doubt it. At any rate most power levelers don't read the quest text. And guess what? That's where the lore and storyline is. If you haven't read it you've missed it.
