Mar 17th 2009 2:32AM Arena Season 6 Is Dropping Me Thinks....
Feb 23rd 2009 3:08PM Teaspoon- Godly Post. You hit haste on the head. Haste is a tool make sure you utilize your entire mana pool.
Nov 12th 2008 1:51PM Mmmm, I'm not even a rogue and I love reading your column.
Nov 10th 2008 3:03PM In my mind boe, is pretty easy as long as you are not casual.
Mains in raid by dkp, alts who are present at request of raid lead by dkp, mains outside of raid by dkp, alts outside of raid by dkp. This assumes that alts don't come to raid unless they are filling a hole because you are short healer/tank/dps.
Casual guilds are going to have a hard time where people may or not have a "raiding main", you almost need to auction it in a casual guild for dkp (if you have it) or gold (ew). Loot Councils and such seem to cause to much of issue and while neither of auction for dkp/gold is not perfect. At least there is a clear set of rules about who gets what, instead of zomg this officer loves x so they got the loot.
Once again casual guilds get the butt end of this issue, progression guilds have a pretty clear stance on making raid, but for casuals it could end up being like herding cats.
: / I guess if some one is consistently bailing maybe they get moved down the list on who you fill raids with first'ish? I don't envy you this issue at all.
DK's for progression guilds will most likely want one or more present for their buffs/debuffs, just like ret pallies where taken to raid pre-3.0 just for raid wide 3% crit. So we may have to suffer through a DK learning his/her class but we will be a stronger guild because of it. ( eventually ) For more casual guilds I guess I don't see the issue in bringing a under geared and/or still learning my class player, because it is some one you like to play with.
Nov 4th 2008 6:37PM In some ways frost did need a nerf, if you have t6 you can walk around in 350ish passive haste and then have icy veins for ~1.7sec frostbolts that crit for ~5k. Kinda scary with the right group comp. But remember these balance changes are supposed to be balanced around 80, so it is hard for most of us to tell if it really needed it.
Nov 1st 2008 10:52PM It is also raid wide so you need either 1 frost mage or one fire mage in your raids. But your right, it is very unimpressive as a pve glyph.
Oct 8th 2008 6:41PM I'm sad for you that you can fulfill 2 or 3 different roles, really I am. Its really not fair to force you to spec a certain way to have a raid slot when there are all kinds of demo locks, and assin rogues in raids.
O wait... :)
Oct 6th 2008 9:51PM I'm excited, hateful sits at a high, but reachable point for a lot of people. Should be fun trying to get to 1825 for the shoulders for some of us non-pvp gods who enjoy it.
Oct 5th 2008 2:23AM Last time I checked, Paladins still heal, in a bubble, while wearing plate. So you can complain about how the cc doesn't match up when mages where plate, and heal, while in their IB.
Sep 26th 2008 2:54PM Effectively you are arguing for continuing to allow pvp gear to be "welfare" epics. It is kinda like saying that you should be able to get (Insert Sunwell/BT epic that your class loves), by doing Kara, because you don't 'like' 25 man raids and the effort to maintain a position in a raid guild. Can you walk into Kara and have a good time? Sure, should you expect t6? No. Blizzard decided that you can't just do bg's to to gear out in t6 item level pvp gear, it will take at least some time and commitment, just like upper tier raids.
