Jun 29th 2009 5:26PM Awesome indeed!
However, I wonder how this will affect the balance on servers where one faction dominates? I mean, say you play Alliance but horde outnumbers you on your server. What is to prevent you from changing to horde and upsetting the balance even more?
But other than that I am pretty excited. It is a well needed feature even though I doubt I will ever use it (maybe we could convice all the kids to go back to alliance??).
Jun 16th 2009 2:00PM I logged in just to say that I actually liked it.
I mean, for a mtn dew commercial about WoW, it could have been much, much worse. At least it didnt use in-game footage, or anything.
Apr 8th 2009 12:35PM QUESTION:
I just rerolled a healing priest and I have a few questions about bubbles.
Is it now appropriate to bubble a tank before they pull, or does it still negatively effect rage gains? I kind of remember hearing that they were considering fixing it, but I can't seem to find if they actually did or not.
Apr 8th 2009 12:28PM It might be worth mentioning that there are a few different options for installing the game without any of the CD's.
If you log into account management on worldofwarcraft.com, you can download and install the entire game, assuming you have previously purchased it at some point. (It might be worth noting that you can do this with diablo and starcraft assuming you have a battlenet account and registered the games).
Also, there is a streaming option that will require a much smaller inital download, and then will download and install the rest of the game at the same time that you are playing it.
The full download/install took me just over 2 hours (just did it last week), although I have never personally tried the streaming install. Actually, now that I think about it, the streaming install might only work for vanilla wow or trial accounts. hrmm.
Feb 23rd 2009 11:31AM I have a question about experience points when grouped outside of instances:
When grouping with equal level people you get a cut in the amount of experience gained per kill(not including RAF, etc). Do you know how big of a cut you get, and does it increase as you add more people to your group?
Also, why is there such a _substantial_ cut anyways? It seems counter-intuitive to punish people for actually playing together in an MMOG.
Jan 29th 2009 8:18PM or they could never showcase it, and the site could die in obscurity.

Yes, dps needs heals too, but lifetapping in 5-mans is almost always optional since you can drink between pulls just like everyone else.
When you life-tap during pulls, all you are doing is "mana-tapping" the healer, since they are now compelled to heal you, and trade their mana to suppliment yours.
But then again, affliction locks can drain life, etc, enough to take care of themselves, so they only need occasional spot healing from AoE damage.
Jan 7th 2009 6:18PM Also, remember that you can attack while riding as a passenger in the tanks.
My favorite thing to do is have a melee class drive, and me (Frost mage) keep everyone away with frost nova, blizzard (slows them down) polymorph or counterspell (keeps casters quiet)..
If anything gets past that, they are pretty easy to take down while in the relative safetly of the tank, and in the mean time, the tank gets through a few extra doors.

There is http://www.wowhead.com/?item=31858
which isnt too bad for tanking and pally tanks especially (holy damage = extra threat)
Or http://www.wowhead.com/?item=34473 if you want to go back and do heroic magister's terrace.
But yeah, more WotLK tanking trinkets would be nice.

I think (maybe) he means that you could grab Titan Grip and throw on a 2h and a sheild and tank 5-mans.
Or maybe I just totally misunderstood.
