BlizzCon 2009: The Guild's Michele Boyd and Jeff Lewis Worgen hands-on {WoW}

Aug 26th 2009 9:27PM I like my Blood Elves just fine! My pally looks ausome. And horde is getting goblins so we now have "little people"

The end of vanilla WoW {WoW}

May 4th 2009 9:33PM I think vanilla is just fine. Look at what happened to death knights, there are tons of them, and only a few people really know how to play them. Imagine if we had all the other classes, and people would have no idea how to play them.

I enjoy sometimes making a character on another server, leveling to level 10 or 15 and then just deleting that char. Just relaxing to hit a few buttons for a couple of hours.

15 Minutes of Fame: Solo healing Naxx 10, Part 2 {WoW}

Mar 17th 2009 2:13PM This is awesome achievement. I hope to be such a great healer one day too. Just got to get one of them to level 80 first LOL. But this kind of shows how effective priest healers can be. Goes against the constant rumbling on this blog how priests are second grade healers because they don't "specialize" in any specific healers (such as Pally - tank, druid - raid etc...) Priests are the best healers all around, period.

The Queue: You have been pwned by a grue {WoW}

Mar 17th 2009 11:42AM I think that people who get so greedy with loot, should not be in a group at all. In a good group most of people will even pass on stuff the can use if it is a big upgrade for someone. It's just a game. I hate when people roll on something to make extra 50 gold, go do 3 dailies, and you got your 50 gold. I think all these BOE blues and purples only created more loot drama in the end. I think intention in the beginning was to make it easier for people to gear up and to help overgeared people from waiting so much stuff by DE it. Unfortunately it creates all this drama from greedy people who just feel they should have a piece of everything if they can.

[Updated] Blood Pact: They're not pets, they're minions {WoW}

Mar 3rd 2009 1:23PM Just a not on Felguard and leveling. I LOVED my felguard, and level in outlands with him, and then picked him up again when I leveled in northrend. I don't like using him in raids, I'm full affliction now, but for leveling or for grinding there is nothing like the FG. He can keep elites better on him, keep and finish off two to three mobs, and puts out nice dps to finish a mob off while you DOTing something else. If you are leveling a lock after 50 I recommend Aflic/Demo with Felguard.

Blood Pact: Raiding as Affliction {WoW}

Jan 30th 2009 9:30AM I also raid as affliction and love it. After you raid for a while you actaully already know when to refresh your dots. It's like you got an internal clock in your head. I've actually always raided as affliction so I'm glad that now it's the top DPS spec.

But besides the clock I personally don't like to use DOT timer addons. I just find them too distracting, or they don't work well enough. When it comes to my UI i use X-Pearl and put both my frame and target frame on the bottom in the middle. Then I also have my debuffs set to be large. So i can see just looking at the target frame how much life it has, what it is casting, and also my debuffs as big boxes with count down on them. All in one place.

Forum post of the day: Life Tap dancing {WoW}

Jan 28th 2009 3:49PM @ the healers - play a lock for a while to understand how life tap/ mana relationship works for a lock.

@ locks - don't life tap to the max, have a balance. That way healers can through a Hot on you. Also, if healers get upset, talk to them and make an agreement oh how you going to life tap. Obviously if you drain all your mana and then lifetap to full, then healer doesn't know if you taping or getting raped by the mob. On the other hand if you tap sparingly and in different intervals, the healer can then give you attention when he/she can.

No need to get upset about this. In my guild, one of our priests ( who had a lock as her main at some point) actually reminds me about my mana, and tells me to lifetap while she puts a renew on me

Mining mechanics changed, one hit per node {WoW}

Jan 7th 2009 5:37PM This will effect ninjaing nodes. From one point of view noone can come up to your node while you mining and start mining as well. From anouther point of view someone can wait for you to clear mobs, and then run up and ninja the mine.

Breakfast Topic: What you call home {WoW}

Jan 5th 2009 2:29PM I always loved undercity. My main and first character is an undead, so I'm always there. When i port to respec, or for AH it's always to UC!

Blood Pact: How the mighty have fallen, 2008 in review {WoW}

Jan 1st 2009 12:37PM I just got to 80 with my lock, and don't even want to bother with a death knight. Love my lock. And now there are less of us we are even more valuable. AOE damage, summoning, soulstone and we are still cool :).

And I love affliction, it's just so much fun to play, very involved and flexible.
