Jan 13th 2010 5:12PM 1) There is no way they are going to go back on that change, the old world is getting werked in Cata
2) I think ret and prot are both perfectly fine for levelling. Prot is one of the funnest specs in the game at the end of the day. But as its been said, prot doesnt have significant legs in old world content, not even for tanking in dungeons, until atleast 40.
3) I really think they could get cross server raiding off the ground with the single shot dragon encounters - Malygos (which noone on my server does outside of weekly quest), Sarth 3d (although that does currently have the pitfall of getting saved on drakes, just put all the badges on sarth regardless) and Onyxia ( probably the most fraught with cross-server peril, but a chance for puggers to get raid caliber weapons)
Feb 24th 2008 9:08AM Epic moments in AV are few and far between these days.
I think rewards, buffs and honor need to encourage more of a balanced strategy. Healing also needs some added HK incentive, especially if HKs wont have diminishing returns. The action, on O and D needs to make group participation a bit more satisfying too.
Siege weapons ftw!
Feb 23rd 2008 1:35PM I guess we could come up with arguements for how every class is or isnt a hybrid.
I think the truth is pretty clear and Alex makes good points all around.
Feb 23rd 2008 1:17PM Hybrid means a mix of 2 or more different things. If a class can respec to fill more than one legitimate role in the holy trinity (tank heal dps) it is a hybrid.
All of the tanking and healing classes in the game are hybrids, none of the pure dps classes are. CC ability doesnt matter as it is present in every class to some arguable degree.
Feb 14th 2008 5:59PM Certainly not, imo. With hoq ridiculous it can be to get yourself (let alone your whole guild)through the copy que and onto the PTR, I think it limits fair 'best of the best' credentials that most world 1st would like to enjoy.
Hats off on downing untested raid bosses tho!
Jan 13th 2008 12:00PM GMs can invisibly stalk players, as they have done to observe reputed farming bots in the past. I think they will have a pretty rational view of what is truly exploitive AFK'n too, they will look for patterns.
