Dec 7th 2010 8:08PM me please, I'm still running a Geforce 8600 :( and it's dieing
Feb 25th 2009 5:57AM Glyph of Hand of Salvation *new* - When you cast Hand of Salvation on yourself, it also reduces damage taken by 20%.
/cast sequence HoS, Hand of Reckoning, Divine Protection.
I can see at least one use for this.
Sartharion 3D and the potential 70k breaths.
70k - 20% (14k) = 56k
56k/2 = 28k
(completely ignoring the rest of the reductions we get through talents (6% imp RF, 3% Bless of Sanc (which is staying in 3.1), 3% shield of the templar, 3% spell damage, GBTL))
easily survivable (for a tankadin geared enough to even try 3D), just hope the next swing doesn't push you into the red as her swing timer is not reset by the breath though being at the block cap should make it safe.
and Divine Protection is only a back up in the event that one of the breath buffers die and you need a little something extra for the last breath before shard goes down.
while this doesn't put us as best MT choice, it does give us more options enabling guilds with tankadins for MT's to give it a shot and will re-enforce Blizz's line of take the player not the class.
Feb 22nd 2009 4:48PM you are being very misleading with the Block Cap concept.
being at the block cap sky rockets a tankadins effective health, and evens out the incoming damage making healing very smooth a block capped T7 pally tank has about as much effective health as a 50khp buffed druid tank maybe more.
the block cap is when you push Hit off the table, and start to push extra Block Rating off the table as well. this way (without relying on redoubt) you can never take an unmitigated physical hit.
everything will be a miss, parry, dodge or block this happens at 102.4% avoidance (total of block%+dodge%+parry%+miss%)
with HolyShield now lasting longer than the cooldown a tankadin can keep holy shield going with 100% uptime.
the only time it comes down is if you screw up your rotation or you use up all the charges , which can happen when AOE tanking which is why people still take Redoubt, in the hopes that it will proc keeping you unhittable till your next HS can be cast.
it's the only reason to take it as once your at the block cap that extra 30% blocking slides right off the table and does nothing for you.
Jul 19th 2008 11:56AM why don't they put a delay on the stealth component of Vanish. I.E you are immune to all damage/attacks for 1 second before the vanish and after.
most of the things that break stealth are actions that are already in motion before vanish is cast, this fact plus latency can see you on your client get the vanish off only to have it broken, when in actual fact the hit came before dropping combat. But if you were immune to that action then it wouldn't break your stealth.
I'm looking forward to trying out the new talents, especially the top talents in Subtlety and Combat. Ninja minded Rogue players that have been watching too much Naruto have been long asking for shadow clones, and the combat talent is kind of like that..... well it has potential and I want to see how Blizz implements it.
The subtlety talent screams out with Damage and CC potential, Ambush and Cheapshot being able to be used more than once a fight without putting vanish on cooldown? lets see how that goes.
Jul 10th 2008 5:01PM First Frostmourne is an oceanic server.
second Frostmourne has allready had free transfers to dreadmaul, when dreadmaul was opened up frostmourne was one of a list of 3 oceanic servers given the option to transfer there.
the problem was that Frostmourne had just opened up the badge vendor on the isle about 5 days before Dreadmaul opened up, no guilds at t4 - t5 content wanted to move because they could get t6 equivalent gear at the new vendor.
Frostmourne still experiences Daily ques at peak raiding time.
I personally would love a free xfer off of frostmourne, now that my guild is no longer around (due to the huge amount of competing guilds at the kara lvl) but to dreadmaul? no thanks I want to go where my friends are. blizz give me 3 free transfers to the server of my choice please.
Jan 16th 2008 8:03PM First I must but in here, and say this, because you all appear to be a little delusional.
Gold Farmers still farm!
yes they hack aswell, but the amount of gold they get from sharding your purples is next to nothing from what they can get through legitimate means.
take 5 chars at lvl 1, all same race, so all same starting area, put a bot that heals on one PC, another 3 bots that attack on assist (then the bot just pushes F2 or whatever to select the main char, followed by the assist key), and have one person play the main char in the group.
invite all 5 into the same group, loot type free for all.
set 4 chars on follow, then follow Johanna's/Brian's lvling guide. share quests, and go do them, player reaches accross 4 other computers, and clicks accept.
get to lvl 2o'ish (WC, or just keep questing), and start farming instances, again and again, till you hit the lvl bracket for the next instance, lather rinse repeat. gear up only in the blues and greens that you get.
you now have 5 chars each with different gathering profs, that can do daily quests, and bot farm nodes. not to mention dis-enchant drops from mobs.
total time taken to get to 70? about 1-2 weeks(more like 5-6 days maybe less) depending on how well they know the quests, and if you use more than one player to run the party (I.E taking the lvling in turns).
lather rinse repeat, you know have an army of bots, doing daily quests, and node farming. with paid char transfers, you can branch out and be present on every single server.
a month, or two later, you open up shop and start selling gold, and you only need about 3 PC's for every server that you sell on, and about 1 person for every 10 - 15 PC's remember the doco's on gold farming pre-TBC?
notice that those same companies are still running, still spamming, and still selling? they are also still farming, take a look at your AH, how many Bank alts/alphabet soup 70's do you see, selling crap tons of Ore, Herbs, and Enchanting mats?
if you can make 200g an hour farming nodes, and doing dailies then so can they, 3k a week, times 5 chars? heck, 3k a week times 50 chars? 150,00 a week, and you can only guess how many bots they have.
Jan 7th 2008 8:15PM you can report an AFK player through the Raid panel.
press 'O' and select the raid tab, right click on the players name, and report as AFK.
there is no need to find the player, and if you call out their name in /BG then all 39 active players can take a few seconds out to report them.
if you don't report them, then they keep afk'ing, and your team keeps loosing.
