Sep 23rd 2008 8:53AM I'm definetly getting on first day its out. I'm not missing school or work, because I have enough downtime to manage,
The point in them segregating the horde and alliance in this expansion are to avoid the afforementioned problems that ran rampant when TBC dropped. Also keep in mind, only a pyschotic morong would try and gank an army of ally ALL in the same area. (Or a PvP guild lookin for some honor)
Also, if they're introducing their phasing as planned, shouldn't it work out so there is less of a mob:player issue? I'm not sure on this, but I think thats what it was meant for, to decrease downtime due to nubcakes #'s 1-5 taking all your kills in their group (Even worse if they're full greens /wrists.)
Dec 20th 2007 12:09PM Haha, I will never forget this one.
Me (rogue) and a couple guildies, prot warr(guild leader), hunter, paladin, and another prot warr offtanking in Heroic Ramps.
So, we get to the first boss, and everything seems to be going quite well... until he launches me over the barricade and into the smogasborg of mobs to the north of where we usually fight him. By this point, the boss is down to around 10-15% hp, and I just happened to be totally out of vanish powders. So I had to evasion tank for a bit, blowing all of my cd's except for sprint. Long story short, I decided I would parade the mishap to the group with a nice sprint, attempting to pull them all to the front door, without dying. Bad idea, I died right next to the group, and watched them all die as the mobs pounded them like Jenna Jameson taking it from Tommy Lee. Nothing like wiping on the first boss with 1% hp remaining.
Dec 19th 2007 5:46PM Finally, my sub spec will kick some ass again!
I was hoping they would realize that the points spent in combat kind of made very little sense... make the people who spent heavily into the PvP based tree, suck at PvP, while others who use the PvE/PvP balance of combat and sub get a HUGE advantage?
Not right IMO.
