WoW Patch 3.1 PTR Warlock glyphs {WoW}

Feb 25th 2009 10:29AM How about leading off with a lifetap? That way the SP buff is up before you even start DPS. That gives 30 seconds of damage boost, by which time you can squeeze a LT in to refresh the buff (say, after refreshing all dots).

WoW Patch 3.1 PTR Rogue changes {WoW}

Feb 24th 2009 5:48PM Fists? Swords? Bah!

My rogue is MACE baby!

Once you smack, you never go back!

Dual spec available at level 40, reagent requirement removed {WoW}

Feb 24th 2009 5:31PM I have a job and don't have time to play 3-8 hours a day...

... and I have four characters with epic flyers, three of whom have hit 80 and have cold weather flying, and I still have over 3k gold on all my toons.

And I don't even practice the "best" money-making skills either, I just do dailies on the weekends and do quests at max level. That plus making 200+g per Naxx run, selling a few greens/crafted items, it adds up quick.

As for dual spec, I like it and I hate it. I like it because my hybrids will have the flexibility of going dps/heal. I hate it because now everyone will be rolling on every piece of gear that drops because they "can use it off-spec." I'm starting to wish it was never mentioned.

Gear vs. Skill {WoW}

Feb 10th 2009 9:59AM Skill > Gear indeed.

We have a warlock in our guild who has won several Naxx 10 items, yet he still only has about 1400 dps in heroic groups. My warlock in mostly quest blues was able to pump out 2k, and now that he has some Naxx items pumped out 3k+ on several bosses.

One of my guild mates has a DK that just hit 80, then went to H-CoT on a drake run and had 2200 dps in quest blues and greens.

Once again, Skill > Gear.

A kind-of-sort-of Ulduar preview {WoW}

Jan 30th 2009 1:44PM When I saw the arena, it reminded me of BRD. Then I saw the jungle.

As for Arthas, I would not be surprised to see us not kill him, but redeem him, then have Ner'zhul come out and try to kick our butts for ruining his plans. If a bunch of death knights can break free and redeem themselves, why not the biggest death knight of them all....

Spiritual Guidance: 3.0.8 for Priests {WoW}

Jan 12th 2009 10:40AM The CoH nerf only affects priests who spam CoH nonstop. Priests who have a good rotation and don't rely on CoH as their main heal will be relatively unaffected. I've seen one priest in our guild outheal many other priests (and other healers) more than 2:1 and her CoH is under 40% of her healing. The other priests? 70% or more.

Guildwatch: Rolling the endgame {WoW}

Dec 17th 2008 10:07AM Devotion (Bronzebeard-A) has taken down Naxx-10 on it's second week of raiding. We also took down Obsidian Sanctum-10 and Archavon-10, then afterwards took some PUGs and did OS-25 and Archavon-25.

Devotion is also recruiting healers, tanks, and ranged DPS for future 25-man efforts. Check us out at http://devotion.vortmax.us .

Wrath 101: The Sons of Hodir {WoW}

Dec 16th 2008 11:42AM Three words why you are hated with Sons of Hodir:

Warrior changes in PTR Patch 3.0.8: Dead parrot edition {WoW}

Dec 12th 2008 10:35AM Amen, Prot 4 Life here.

I'll give TG a "whirl" when dual specs come out, even have some quest/heroic blues sitting in the bank for it. But my first love will always be Prot.

DPS meters come and go, but a good tank is priceless.

World of Warcraft PTR 3.0.8 Patch notes {WoW}

Dec 11th 2008 1:10PM Removing the penalty for Titan's Grip was unnecessary. Yes, I play a warrior.

The CoH/WG nerf was necessary, as it made healing too "easy mode." Yes, I have a holy priest alt. L2P CoH spammers.

I don't play a paladin, but I'm wondering if JoWisdom's percentage return on base mana is still only 1%, or if they upped the percentage now that it's base mana.
