Feb 15th 2012 4:43PM The Paladin talent tree is looking much more balanced now. There's interesting choices and compelling reason to choose talents over each other, and they're really working to remove talent synergy. The level 30 tier is still weak, weak, *wwweeeaak*. Two PvP abilities versus an actual CC? No contest here. I hope they'd be able to tweak this further so we don't have to do "PvP talent builds" anymore - we're getting awfully close with the way the talents are laid out.
Jan 30th 2012 3:20PM I remembered Sindragosa vividly because my magic was pathetic and it constantly betrayed me...

Dec 15th 2011 6:19PM Argh... this is a response to the BattleTag announcement. How the heck did this comment jump between posts...
Dec 15th 2011 6:11PM Aw well, looks like that's the nail in the coffin for the noble experiment. I for one felt that the web in general can use a little less anonymity, but vox populi, Guy Fawkes mask and all that good junk.
Dec 12th 2011 4:25PM I was almost overjoyed (okay, maybe that's a really bad way to describe it...) when I thought I heard the other half of this story:
But since some of the details differ, I guess it's not the exact same situation. Still, it's kind of interesting to imagine that's how the situation collides - and the funny thing is, the advice are given from two totally different perspective with different justification but essentially resolves the problem in the same way to both side's benefit...
Nov 28th 2011 2:54PM I've been keeping a close eye so I don't *think* I've missed it, but was there a guide written for End Time, the first of these three instances? I know there's previews and a full video, but I like to read textual guides with ability breakdowns far more than watching blurry videos of avatars jumping around fires on the ground with sparse explanations of what's actually going on (plus, spoilers...).
Oct 31st 2011 8:51PM Yes, there's always going to be the "pop music" equivalent of talent choices. That's by and large fine, if people don't want to think for themselves in the context of a game for entertainment I'm all for that...
But don't look at this second revamp as a design that removes the "right" choice as much as it is one that removes the "wrong" choices. I can literally throw darts at the talent tree and come up with a build that is viable for all but top-tier raiding or pvping. Granted it might not be the way I'd want to play the character, but it's certainly not broken in the way that not taking the +heal talent for healers can literally cripple that healer's performance, especially since all moderately difficult encounters account for the fact that you would have taken those talents already. I have... well, most talent tiers have obvious pvp choices (for those who keep asking to have a pvp build), but 2^6 is still a pretty friggin awesome number compared to 2 out of 4.
That's the whole point. I've almost always had my character builds off the cookie cutter just to get a bit of the personal flavor in, and now instead of struggling with freeing up 5 talent points for about 2 actual talents to put in,
Oct 27th 2011 7:18PM My addons are mostly just cosmetic improvements, although I've become more and more reliant on a heavily customized TellMeWhen to handle all of my character's rotations. It's *almost* able to do everything I ask it to do. Ovale probably has even more options, but I find the coding interface super clunky (y u no autosave).
Oct 25th 2011 4:55PM In a way, I feel kind of sad that Vengence of the Void sounds like a more legitimate sequel to WoW than Mists of Pandaria would ever be.
Are we all unsuspectingly being teleported to a parallel universe?
