Jul 14th 2009 4:32PM Nevermind, I found the answer in the patch notes.
Expert Riding (Skill 225): Can now be learned at level 60 for 600 gold from trainers in Honor Hold or Thrallmar. Faction discounts now apply (Honor Hold for Alliance; Thrallmar for Horde). Flight speed at this skill level has been increased to 150% of run speed, up from 60%.
Artisan Riding (Skill 300): Faction discounts now apply (Honor Hold or Valiance Expedition for Alliance; Thrallmar or Warsong Offensive for Horde).
Jul 14th 2009 4:17PM Some questions about flight training in 3.2:
Will flight training be subject to faction discounts? I couldn't decide from the previously released flight change information whether the discounts apply to training or solely to mounts.
If so, what faction will provide a discount on 280% flying speed skill?
What about the 150% flying speed skill?
Jul 13th 2009 10:38PM It's been four days since you've published The Queue. Any chance we'll see one soon? I have a question!
Jun 26th 2009 1:55PM Actually I think you can do this a little faster. Steps 1-3 are good. A tip is don't move around at all, just spam your lance right while standing still until you see him walk away.
4. Once he starts to walk away, spam your Charge (3) ability.
5. This is one time where keyboard turning comes in handy. When you charge, you'll keep running past your opponent. Use your A or D key to make a wide circle while spamming your shield breaker (2). Then close the gap and stand on top of your opponent again and spam your Lance (1) ability again.
Krick I couldn't tell in your step 4 where you suggested to "run in" whether you meant to charge or just walk back to your opponent. But you can actually wear down two of his shields with a Charge -> Shield Breaker combo. Often times he can't refresh his shields fast enough and your Lance ability will land for around 3k, while your Charge will hit for almost 6k.
Because of lag, he'll probably be able to land a couple Shield Breakers and a Charge, but not nearly as many as you will land on him. Just keep an eye on your shields and you'll be fine.
Jun 16th 2009 3:34PM That might add 15 minutes to the total time. Joust -> Fly to Chillmaw -> Fly to Citadel -> Kill Scourge next door -> Fly a few yards to Dalaran and catch the gryph to wherever your sword maiden is -> hearth to Dalaran -> gryph to the Tournament. The hardest part is flying from Chillmaw to the Citadel. It's still not as painful as Netherwing, Skyguard, etc for your 2k rep reward.
Jun 16th 2009 2:48PM I wouldn't call it a tedious rep grind. The dailies take 30 minutes and factoring in Champion's Writs, you get 2,000 rep per day. It sucks a little for DKs, but anyone who quested 1-80 should already be close to revered with the home factions. And if you aren't, then you can blow through old world quest content for quick, easy rep.
The time investment is not bad compared to some others like Netherwing, whose dailies took an eternity.
Apr 27th 2009 9:43AM Why should I have to work around your schedule? And you're crazy if you think those eggs were going uncamped at any time on Sunday.
The campers have no claim on those eggs. They didn't have to spend time or energy clearing the mobs in the area and I don't see why I have to respect their arbitrary claim on that little square of land. It's an easter egg hunt, plain and simple. You run around and pick up eggs. You campers are misinterpreting the spirit of the holiday. I'm taking part in the fun.
Apr 27th 2009 9:09AM I'm generally very courteous in Warcraft. While levelling a Death Knight and Ret Pally on a PVP server, I never ganked lowbies or engaged someone in combat who wasn't hostile toward me. And I'd never steal an herb or ore node from anyone, regardless of faction.
But the egg campers brought out the worst in me yesterday, and I made stealing their eggs into my own mini-game. If 50 people camp eggs and another 50 show up, is the second group not supposed to take part in the Noblegarden event? That's such a ridiculous notion, and I doubt Blizzard intended for the holiday to work that way.
So if someone was actively running around town picking up eggs and we raced toward the same one, I'd defer to them. But I managed to swipe quite a few out from under the campers and feel like I earned my own extra achievement in the process.
Dec 29th 2008 3:59PM Adam specified political *and social* issues when setting up his post. LGBT issues are considered social ones, and I believe the spirit of the article is to highlight some in-game vs real world policital and social issues covered in 2008.
Please try not to be so sensitive and emo. We don't want the reputation of being whiners. =)
