Jul 9th 2008 6:57PM You have to set your camera settings manually by editing the warcraft configuration files, and then it lasts until you either log out or switch camera zooms.
Jul 6th 2008 4:47PM It is definitely Arthas.
Jul 4th 2008 4:31PM Blizzard entertainment, for purposes of machinima, explicitly allows the use of "video images, footage, music, sounds, speech, or other assets from its copyrighted products, including "World of Warcraft"." There are, of course, restrictions, but these are legal restrictions relating to their copyright of those materials. You can see more detail on their open letter to the machinima community.
The TOS(Terms of 'service') is an entirely separate matter that is only effective within the scope of a person, with an account, playing their game. It covers the wow service.
When Blizzard announced the WWI contest, they used a picture from a Baron Soosdon movie that featured significant and blatant private server use, as well as model editing.
Anyway, I'd just also note that those abilities are pretty much what Sylvanas does; shoots arrows, throws energy, and raises corpses.
Jul 4th 2008 1:54PM I'm not sure what the mystery is. It's basically just the same stuff Arthas is saying in the trailer for Wrath of the Lich King, only in French.
"You've fought a bunch of stuff, it was easy, so come face me in Northrend."

...anyway, I think that judging them as if they were a warped human does them a disservice, the same as any race(except undead who are, after all, warped humans. eheh.) should have their own appeal.
May 19th 2008 4:24AM To be fair, the youtube video description pretty clear states that cry was using blizzard's videos, so while this is arguably more of a mashup than a typical machinima, I don't think there was anything like an attempt to hide the fact.
May 19th 2008 2:03AM I liked the intro this time.
As to where it's going, whenever they finish perhaps someone will cut the whole series into a tight, coherent story?
