Shifting Perspectives: Tanks, "Wrath," and crushing blows, part 2 {WoW}

Mar 4th 2009 12:03AM Great artical one of the best on wowinsider in a long time, but I do have a question which you might be able to address in some future artical.

What about parry gib? or as GC put in in a recnt post about howling blast Instaparry gib.

As druids do not parry they dont have to worry about it and warrior and paladins have block to mitigate more damage than a dk.

So what I want to know is what affect parry gib has in relation to all the tanking classes? because it seemd to me although DK tanks might be great at mitigating the new "Crushing Blow" in the form of magic attacks, some of those said magic attacks are coming from bosses that can be parried and also hit pretty hard physically.

Now I am not expert on parry gib so I would very much appriciate some feedback as to how you see this mechanic affecting DK's and other tanking classes in the future.

Kind regards

Arcane Brilliance: The state of the Mage {WoW}

Sep 27th 2008 7:37PM Guys its all about keeping the status quo,... can't you all see?

For those that can't let me explain what I mean...

What blizzard are doing is nerfing one class, then they read everything everyone writes about what class they are going to re-role to and then in tern, nerf the new popular class.

Reason?

Well logic says that if they keep doing that then everyone will eventually end up back at their old respective classes and they would have suceeded in bringing in a whole new wave of abilities without upsetting the current status Quo.

Ok, so its not exactly a means to helping everyone get what they really want which is lots of exciting new toys that are fun. But it is a way of achieving balance I suppose. lol

Spiritual Guidance: What kind of healer are you? {WoW}

Dec 26th 2007 8:14PM If you’re looking to bring some utility to a priest, why not give the priest an aura. We all know how in books and stories how when priests have joined battle and are seen it increases the moral of those about them. So wouldn’t it make sense to give them an aura? Now what this aura does is debatable and could do all sorts of things, but my thinking would be along these lines.... We already have a talent in shadow which allows us to restore mana to a party in a raid from the damage we do, so would it be to much of a buff or to much of a stretch of the imagination to give us a talented aura which when we cast heals on people within our party restores a percentage of that heal to the party as mana, or better sill restores a percentage of the over heal as mana, as invariably when you cast a party wide heal someone nearly always receives some over heal.
Just food for thought.
