Jan 7th 2008 2:40PM HA! I love the Silithus hive solution.
Dec 28th 2007 7:11PM Your best bet is to farm in Dire Maul, I believe.
Drops from two different rare elite mobs there.
Dec 25th 2007 3:32PM Wow, I'm really looking forward to this series!
Dec 4th 2007 4:49PM Ugh, Vista?!
I just spent the last few months of my WoW life realizing that Vista is awful. Wiped my (very high end) machine, went back to Windows XP, and have never been happier.
If I win, I'll probably end up doing the same with my snazzy new laptop. Vista/WoW and NVidia don't play well together.
Nov 29th 2007 3:30PM I didn't PvP on my holy priest until I'd been level 70 for a while, so I had a lot of catching up to do. I did BGs quite a lot, mostly AV, and kept steadily upgrading my PvP gear (belt/boots/bracers) whenever I had the chance. One thing that helps is keeping track of what armor/weapon pieces would benefit most from an upgrade... make a list, keep your priorities straight, and don't just grab the shoulders 'cuz they "look cool".
I also got lucky with a few nice +resil drops in instances.
Once I had a little +sta/resil gear, I started doing 3v3 and 5v5 arenas with guildies. We were awful, but the points started rolling in. Now I have ~10k health and 365 resilience, and I can survive much much longer than I used to.
Take a look at Arenajunkies.com for great discussions on your class, too. I learned a lot from those guys.
Oct 1st 2007 4:36PM As a dwarf priest, I'm bummed out that I'm "losing" fear ward so soon. I thought that wasn't coming until the expansion. It's so handy... but the new 3-minute cooldown/3-minute duration is stupid.
Aug 10th 2007 3:30PM Yes, there's a good reason to get out of Stormwind to level up your fishing: you'll catch fish that are actually valuable.
I went from about 180 to 300 fishing in the Wailing Caverns... caught lots of the Deviate fish that you can make plenty of money selling. Then I switched to Zangarmarsh and Terrokar to get to 375... even if you don't want to use the +stats food yourself, you can sell it to someone who does. I would have gone crazy standing in the SW canals all that time...!
Aug 8th 2007 5:17PM I love these stories! People who don't like them are free to skip 'em, the way I skip the "rogues" column.
Reading about the Xzin's make me feel like I'm a 7-year-old kid again... totally cool, fun to dream about, but there's no way I could pull it off. So if Wowinsider can put up the occasional cool article about the guy, I'll read it. :-D
Jul 28th 2007 6:29AM Hey, the next time you post one of these, could you find a better way to format the choices? It's really hard to read, and it messes up the comedic value (yes, there is some!) when they get all squished together.
E.g., put a space between each line, and put the submitters name in bold.
I thought these captions were OK, but not as funny as some previous contests.
