Nov 8th 2006 8:11AM Having played the beta, all of your gear unless it's Tier 3 or better becomes pretty much obsolete.
For example I play a priest. There is a quest that is available in Thrallmar the moment you step through the portal that provided a green staff pgrade that surpasses Benediction/Anathema in power.
Remember how many hours and hours and HOURS of grinding Molten Core it took to see the first Benediction? Yeah this new quest takes like 20 minutes.
I have no intentions of holding onto ANYTHING unless it's an item that has some actual utility like the one's you mentioned.
Oct 24th 2006 7:38AM According to the restrictions and exceptions listed on cursebeta.com you CANNOT move/show/hide buttons while in combat but you CAN change make bars change function.
This should be interesting.
Oct 19th 2006 8:44PM I'm not disappointed. I think it's a little absurd to expect that they would retool the existing end-game content at the same time as the BC launch.
You can bet your sweet buttocks that they'll do it after some months go by and people complain on the official forums.
In fact, it's inevitible that they will redo them. Count on it. Just NOT on BC release day.
Oct 18th 2006 2:40PM Thank you. I ranted in a similar fashion about this guy's blog.
Not ONCE in the guy's entire post did he claim any responsibility for his own actions, place any blame on himself, or admit to any fault of his own for his addiction to WoW.
The only thing resembling any sort of ownership (in the form of blame on others) was his statements about Blizzard making the game addicting intentionally and being forced to play.
Verbal menstruation at its finest.
Oct 17th 2006 11:34AM This video is great. So September 2006, but definitely a classic. There is an unbelievable amount of work that goes into videos like that. Definitely worth of respect!
Try using Google's translate function to use it as a proxy from English-to-English to view sites you normally can't.
Oct 17th 2006 8:46AM If you think for one second that Blizzard is not going to revamp and most certainly lower the player limit on existing level 60 end-game dungeons: Think again.
Keep in mind how over that last year alone BRD, Strat, Scholo, UBRS, LBRS have changed dramatically. Mobs have been removed or relocated, and the player cap lowered from 15 in all of them, to 10 in Strat/Scholo/BRD/LBRS and UBRS, and finally to 5 in Strat/Scholo/BRD/LBRS.
I am expecting to see the same type of reclassification of the end-game dungeons. Once EVERYONE can hit level 70, where is the incentive to drag 40 people into Molten Core or Blackwing Lair when you can just do 5-man PuGs in Outland for far better gear?
Think about it.
Oct 12th 2006 9:31AM I gotta say my two favorites are:
* Male Undead Warriors. Nothing quite like a skelly in plate armor. It just looks menacing.
* Female Troll Rogues. They look so sexy with their sneaky sneakies on.
Oct 11th 2006 9:04AM I find myself bored with anything but raiding anymore. Having been level 60 since about March of 2005, I have pretty much run the gamut of every last level 60 quest in Strat, Scholo, DM, BRS, etc etc. The only thing left for my guild to do is finish BWL and Naxx, and even we're not sure if it's worth the effort given all the work and knowing that the expansion is imminent.
Why work so hard for incremental upgrades to level 60 gear when it will quickly become obsolete or at the very least not quite as cool?
Although, as a priest I wouldn't mind getting my hands on Atiesh. *scratches chin*
