The Queue: does not work {WoW}

Jan 18th 2010 11:25AM Its fairly easy to make an email look like its come from anywhere if my knowledge on email scamming is correct. If in doubte contact blizzard by telamaphone directly or write a whole new email to them taking the address from their official website directly if your worried. Worst case scenario the scammers have tricked you and made you make a phone call to confirm its not a problem, end of....

You wouldn't like me when I'm hungry {WoW}

Jan 4th 2010 4:13AM This is a problem for tanks, I always check before I kick off the instance and before each boss that everyone is ready, nothing much I just ask "rdy?" and I usually either get nothing at all or several people shouting "Just pull ffs!", I still ask, but I wont much longer, if the healer looks like he's ready I'm going for it, blame all the asshat dps out there if your still loading when the pulls start...

Race changes confirmed {WoW}

Sep 4th 2009 10:22AM No-one can complain about this with the lines: -

"Oh blizz are just milking us"

"How can they justify the change of a race"

Why not? Because to not implement this service and make people re-level would make them more money, and in a fantasy game where the same people (bosses) get killed over and over and over you cant use the argument of realism. If you want to argue that race change isn't realistic then every boss in the game (barring those that run off at the end) should only be killable once by each player, would that make you happier?

And personally I cant wait for this, I started playing with a forsaken warrior and have been wishing ever since I made him orc or tauren, now I can finally make that happen! *smiles*

WoW Patch 3.1 PTR Warlock changes {WoW}

Feb 24th 2009 6:56AM I cant say as a levelling lock right now that I'm fond of the change to syphon life and corruption, my usual rotation is syphon/corruption/CoA, but now this means I will have less damage done overall due to losing the damage caused by syphon, also does the amount healed compare to what syphon did? I'm afraid I'venot got the time or inclination to work it out but it doesn't look like it, yet another reason for me to be a bit put out...

I may just go back to my warrior at this rate and level him instead...

Will the economic downturn hurt WoW? {WoW}

Feb 5th 2009 9:40AM Dont forget that although WoW is 'only' 10 GBP or 15 USD a month there are the extra costs to factor in of the monthly internet access that is also required, I'm guessing that doubles your costs (albeit not factoring in all the other bonus' of having a net connection).

But I suppose to go th other way a lot of people who play wow dont pay the bills, just their wow access (ie children through teens to those late thirty year old losers still in their mum basement) and they probably wont see much of a change on their outgoings...

I personally will be stopping one of my accounts (I have 2) but not due to the economic climate but more due to the fact that a three month old really eats into your spare time! :)

WoW Insider interview: You Play or We Pay founders {WoW}

Jan 16th 2009 9:35AM This is basically an insurance company. Car insurance, home insurance, pet insurance, even life and health insurance (which is an industry I work in) is all based on algorithms comparing potential income to potential outgoing.

Their formulae will have made them realise that at the levels they charge and the times they will need to pay they will make a profit. But some people who are unlucky and end up unable to play WoW may actually get back a lot more money in this way, its like all insurance that is not compulsory (like car insurance) its gamble and the buyer makes the decision themselves if its worth it or not.

Personally I see no real reason why you would need insurance for Wow being down, if its down I'll just remain in RL and do something else instead...

Shamans disappointed yet again in 2.4 notes {WoW}

Feb 12th 2008 5:06AM *sigh*

Bored with all QQing from EVERY player... you know which people really enjoy this game? I mean really enjoy it? And dont say "oh god I HAVE to do XYZ now..." (btw its not a job for crips sakes) Here's a secret for free, its not those who play the most balanced, uber-est most bestest class evah in arena, pvp, pve, ram races and your mums face....

Its those who know its a G.A.M.E. and take it at that...

I repeat... G.A.M.E.

Just a game, y'know... for fun?

No-one QQ'd over Mario getting more air time than luigi, or sonic being better than tails, or that the fat kid always lasted til the end in kiss chase, or the fitter kid was always best at avoiding being tagged in 'IT', and the minute people start moaning about blizzard evidently running some kind of hate campaign on their class choice needs shooting...

Don't like it? Play somethin else and STFU...
