Feb 20th 2007 7:25PM That Scryer vs. Aldor would simply not work.
Most Healers choose Aldor, and most DPS-Casters choose Scryer.
So there would be quite an inbalance on the Matchmaking side. How can you defeat 10 healers with only pure DPS?
Feb 19th 2007 5:15AM I love my Rogue, and even more I do love my Warlock.
I have played almost all classes beyond lvl 40, but my least favourites are Schaman and Paladin.
I just can't stand to not be able to DPS by hitting a button.
Yea, shamans can shock for DPS, but they are so damn mana intensive that I really miss any melee instant attacks, same with pally. Basically you just start autoattack and wait for some procs.
Feb 13th 2007 9:13PM I guess they will do this not only for this first Arena Season but for all Arena Seasons in the future.
And ppl you should really check out some info on the old Warcraft 3 Matchmaking and Ranking System. They built that new Ladder System for the Arenas around their WC3 Ladder System and that System has kept the Wc3 community alive for almost 5+ years. It's just so damn good.. competitive and very challenging. I hope they got this somehow into WoW.
Feb 4th 2007 7:25AM Many classes can do that, the Warrior can charge to avoid fallen damage. The Mage can Blink before hitting the ground du avoid damage from falling.
The Priest can levitate (won't do mutch sense though)..
The Rogue can jump from great heights and still get no damage, train that a bit so you can jump off let's say 40 meters without getting unstealthed right on your target ;)

I remember when everybody was checking into the IF chat from around the world to continue trading while grinding.
They somehow stopped that with a Patch. very interesting that it is possible to join another Zone-Chat, thought they fixed that.

But I guess it would be a real solution to simply kick out those 10 day trial passes from general chats etc.
Or restrict them so they can only be seen by people below lvl 10.
So those spammers would be forced to pay 20$ per spam they want to send.
And yes, Blizzard would still need to improve their customer service program so spammers get kicked faster. A 20$ normal WoW account would still be profitable if they can spam around for about a week or two. If they get banned 8 hours after being reportet this would really cut down their profit on that.

What point would there be to do a quest where there is no reward in it? And you can't give a reward on quests the players did as long as blizz didn't evaluate that quest to see if the reward that should be given is appropriate (like Ashkandi for killing Hogger 3 times wouldn't be right, right?)
And Player-Quests are possible, they do it on RP realms all the time.
Jan 4th 2007 4:48PM We created the first thunderfury on our Server and had to kill Thunderaan 4 times before the Rogue who had the quest found out that he should be the lootmaster to get the Drop.
With about 80 Alliance and 30 Horde sitting around beating the shit out of Thunderaan that was no big problem, 3-4 seconds per try.. But still .. Annoying :)

Ever tried to crowd control a mob in a limited space environment? Like Drakki Room in Ubrs?
You can apply fear to a mob and while CoR is up he is still feared, but ignores it. Whenever you switch to Curse of Shadow he is running away again. So you can play pingpong with that mob while being able to control his movement.
