May 19th 2008 11:05AM I want a Popener! :O
Happy birthday Mr. Wachowski (or whatever your name is, if not that) =)
May 19th 2008 9:14AM "My issue is, how does one go about creating new friendships and relationships on a completely new server and with a guild that contains no-one you know? Balnazzar had a thriving IRC channel, shared in-game chat channel between members of varying guilds, and a fantastic Wow Europe realm forum - Xavius doesn't seem to have any of these: the IRC channel is unfriendly and quiet, no shared channel and the realm forum is full of useless troll posts."
Hello, my name is Sparuuto and I'm a protection paladin (Horde, sorry) on Xavius EU. I have no idea why on Earth you'd move there as it is pretty lacking overall. We do have an IRC channel but as far as I know it's still to pick up some members as I don't think it's all that old.
We do have a forum community but it all seems to be centred towards inside jokes about high end guilds and certain personalities. I do know, however, that they are generally extremely friendly and if you just put in an introductory post on the realm forums then people'll get to know you.
Have you been raiding with Destiny Awaits long? You'll probably meet people over the course of raiding that you get on with and get to know a bit better. If you see any good conversations going in /g, try to get involved and people should recognise you and accept you more.
As for chat channels, I know there are a few keepers Hordeside but on the Alliance I'd have no idea. Just be friendly with everyone you PuG with, everyone you craft for or who crafts for you, enchanters etc.
Best of luck, Sparnab Xavius EU
May 16th 2008 11:36AM As a tankadin, I really enjoyed the post, Allison. I look forward to seeing more :)
I'd also like to highlight that the tank can generally get leader for 'marking' purposes and then boot a DPS out if they look at him/her funny. Rude and volatile, I know, but a privelige the role has. I can't truthfully say I've never used that advantage.
I've never been that interested in PvP but I'm not interested in stupid people either which is why I keep my PuGs to an absolute minimum. If you're a reasonably geared tank and can do your job well, you can expect to have lots of people friending you for future instances.
Due to the nature of paladin tanking, I thankfully don't have to deal with CC problems. It is however, disenheartening to see more than one person below me on damage when there are no tasks other than pure DPS.
As "Nomad" suggested, being funny keeps me interested. Perhaps that's just part of my personal nature but I don't know anybody who doesn't appreciate a good chuckle.
May 3rd 2008 8:22AM As a newbie healer myself that's just installed DrDamage, this is awesome for healing just the right amount when necessary (just as Guernia pointed out). Still, a name conatining 'Damage' just feels a bit...icky for a healer.
May 3rd 2008 8:20AM To Hunters:
Thank you for misdirecting the boss on that clothie. I really, really didn't like him. /evil
Apr 27th 2008 2:51PM More stick. MORE STICK.
People that screw it up deserve to be pissed off, they're pissing off either 9 or 24 other people.

Sounds almost like an emo kids threatening to self harm. Go ahead and slash your wrists Virgin, I'm getting a new ISP.
Mar 15th 2008 12:01PM I was the Bananalord of Blades of Bananaland.
Feb 10th 2008 11:16AM I felt the same way when my hunter was my main and I was levelling my tankadin. I just went with what I felt and my main is now my tankadin and I'm raiding with that char. I'm enjoying the game more with my tankadin as my main and I'd suggest you try doing the same.
Jan 3rd 2008 3:08PM 1) Protection Paladin (me) - I has to to take me D:
2) Rogue/Mage/Retridin - Awesome CC or extra aggro
3) Shadow Priest - I need as much mana as I can get
4) Hunter/Warlock/Fury Warrior - PewpewDPS
5) Holy Priest (I usually take the same one and it works, although I could easily sub it in with a Holy Paladin. Resto Druids/Shammies never work quite as well for me)
