Jun 16th 2008 2:51PM I get most of my stuff from walmart.com for new items, or ebay/half.com if I want used stuff. Or I suck up really hardcore to the JoyStiq guys who give swag away and hope I get it that way too!
Apr 17th 2008 6:09PM Another problem with shammies for 5 man runs is group makeup.
Say you have a prot pally, a rogue, a resto druid, a warlock, and you as an enhancement shammy. No matter how you slice it, the totems you drop only benefit roughly half the group. Agi helps you and the rogue but takes spell dmg away from the lock and pally (not as important) and heals away from the druid. Mana does nothing for the rogue and often little for anyone not ranged if you don't have the 30 yard totem talent (since melee moves a lot, depending on pulls), but if you aren't resto your healing totem isn't usually worth it in 5 mans.
I'm not saying that the group buffs aren't awesome - they are (i have a resto shammy who went 1-58 enhancement and 58-69 elemental - and I love him). But CC makes everyone's job easier, whereas the buffs typically only make half the group better. And combine that with how most people do have the CC is required mentality (as said above), it's no wonder why CC > buffs almost all the time for 5 mans.
Mar 14th 2008 11:00AM Two questions for an 67 shammy planning on going resto at 70 (and just startign my research - i've been enh and ele but not resto yet).
Does your +heals affect healing stream totem?
And how many healing spells do most of you have on your bars? Is 6 the average? (3 HW's, 2 CH's, and 1 LHW) ?
Mar 14th 2008 8:55AM High Overlord Saurfang, yo, cause he's the fist of retribution.
But seriously - "two handed" is optional for his two-handed weapons.
Feb 26th 2008 4:40PM I think you meant Reincarnation (or even Ankhing) instead of Ancestral Spirit in the first paragraph. Ancestral Spirit is the shammie's regular rez, not his self-rez.
Feb 12th 2008 1:05PM Just a question as fellow druid (and reader of the BBB, of course). What damage type would kitty / bear forms be considered? Blunt or sharp? My initial thoughts are sharp, of course, but I didn't know if it was mentioned specifically.
